is there an easy way to take the stickers off the snuff tins?

The toque one came off easy without ripping but I have a few others that don’t look like they will come off without leaving behind pieces. Any good ideas? I was also trying to save the sticker for maybe a book or something like that

Yes, use a heat source from the bottom of the lid . A lighter will heat it up fast you may want to hold the lid with a leather glove. start at the bottom where the warning label is. lift up label just enough to grab hold of. then continue to heat the entire bottom grab hold of the label and peel off. at this point I cut the warning label off and stick it to the jar I am storing the snuff in. A sticker book is a good idea to you can right a review on that snuff .what your first impressions were. what you liked about it and the other thoughts that normally go into your review. You can also use a blow dryer or a stove top. Be careful. If you want to keep the tins you can remove the glue with WD40 then wash with dawn soap. good for small parts screws nuts bolt nails babys teeth or sell them on flea bay. Here is a small example of what I have achieved the labels on top of the jars hand written.

@basement_shaman those look like nice little jars. Where did you find them and about how much do they hold?

@TomStrasbourg I will PM with details they are 4 oz glass, cobalt blue wide mouth packer jars will easily hold 50 grams of snuff. they come in 2,4,5,8,and 16 ounce also available in amber 1,2,4,8,16,and 32 oz

There is a hydrocarbon-based spray cleaner called Apursil. This thing is so strong on glue, that only after a couple of seconds it is dissolved. I use it only on a metal tins, because it damages plastic.

Do you mind sending me a PM with that information also, Please. Thanks

@basement_shaman the lighter worked great, thanks. You could see it pop up a little from the lid then I got a fingernail under the sticker and pulled slowly. It came up easily and left no residue behind on the tin.
