Is Samuel Gawith Irish D Light the same as Viking Blonde?

I was sure I read somewhere (or possibly misread) it was. I’ve been looking for a toast scented snuff that is easy to take; ie moister than IHT and not inclined to shoot into the sinuses/throat. I bought Irish D Light thinking it would be but I find it too dusty.

I think Viking Blonde is the same as Samuel Gawith SP No. 1 High Mill. Irish D Light is definitely drier and finer.

In one word… “No” Irish D light is much finer, has “nutty” notes, very dry and is a very pale brown in color while the Viking Blonde is medium grind, plain tobacco aroma and is brown in color. The Viking blonde I find that´s easy to take considering his medium grind and moistness.

No, D light is much, much finer. I agree with @crullers‌ it’s more like SP No1 to me.

Agreed, I have both, they are not the same. Irish D is dry, fine and nutty. Viking Blonde is moist, medium, and earthy.
