At the moment I’m experiencing a really violent reaction every time I take snuff. After a pinch, large or small, of any type of snuff I’m looking at an hour or so of uncontrollably runny nose and sneezing. 

I’ve had a cold virus a few weeks ago, which has taken a while to shift, but I have taken snuff with a cold before and if anything it’s actually helped with the symptoms. 

I have been taking snuff since March 2014 and have never had issues like this before. 

Any ideas? 

Maybe your nose is just self cleaning since the body chooses to reject/clean almost anything put into your body. Maybe your just hydrated enough.

virii kill cells and the disruption to the mucus membrane can last a while after an infection; give it some time and I’ll bet you will be back to normal.

I had a bad cold with sinus infection months ago and I am still having trouble with snuff. Any oiled German or mentholated snuffs just cause snezing and clogging that last hours. I had to move to toasts to keep my nose clear - not a bad thing all the time, but I miss the variety which kept me taking snuff. I am hoping I get back to normal eventually. Have you tried just using F&T HDT for a day?

I used oiled snuff right thru a cold and almost didn’t know I had one.
