Is it OK to wipe snuff on gums?

Bizarre question, perhaps (maybe even probably).

But…

I’ve found wiping the snuff I can’t sniff up on my gums is pleasurable. There’s a nice tang.

Now, I’m not talking about whacking a clump of the stuff into my mouth. I just mean wiping crumbs that are left after sniffing up a pinch and that I can’t seem to sniff up on my gums.

Is this OK or is it bad?

I’ve read you’re not supposed to swallow chewing tobacco so just wondering.

Sorry if, as I said at the beginning, this is a bizarre question - go easy on me lol

All American and Indian snuffs are made to use in the mouth we just use them in our nose anyways.

Thanks. These are English ones but good to know. Just I’d read about swallowing chew and I’ve seen a few comments on here that chew is apparently extremely lethal (I know all tobaccos carry a risk, just seems chew is worse going by here).

It was probably a silly question though, so I appreciate the kindness in your response

A year ago, I tried making snuff from leaf stems left over from tobacco I grew and destemmed after curing.

I made 4 different kinds and they have been in sealed jars for 12 months now.

I just tried one that I added a bit of home made rum to as a flavoring, by taking a pinch and putting it in my mouth since it had a stronger freebasing agent and I was a little scared about burning my nose.

I’m glad I did because it knocked me on my ass LOL!
