Or does my sweet scotch have some subtle notes of coffee? What subtle notes have you picked up in any snuff that wasn’t purposely scented/flavored that way?
Which sweet scotch? I’ve used most of them, but have never detected any hint of coffee. I would like that, though.
just some garretts sweet but I have to mention it is quite aged at about 1 year and 3 months or so haha.
American sweets are usually flavored in some portion by molasses, which lends to a fabulous array of subtle, roasty undertones that work nicely with the base toasted tobacco. The type & quality of the molasses used by various producers probably goes a long way in determining the quality and character of their sweet scotches.
My Tube Rose Sweet has a caramalized sugar taste. Almost chocolate but more like caramel at a state fair. Girlfriend says she smells the tube rose and smoke but I can’t. She also says tube rose was used at funerals in the old days to hide the dead body smell. Hmm, I’m starting to wonder about my girlfriend.
Spyro, she’s right on both counts. Keep her around. Get to know tube rose, the floral is ver very subtle, but its there.
Spyro, why wonder about her for simply being knowledgeable? I think McChrystal’s Mild Lemon has some rosemary or thyme in it.
I smell a potbellied wood kitchen stove in just about all my most favorite snuffs. Its joyfully the least subtle in my Toque “Cheese & Bacon” (which to me really is “potbellied wood kitchen stove with dinner on”)
@Kiestraak - I was joking. The humor sometimes gets lost in a faceless, typed post.
