Tried so many, tried so hard to understand! IHT nr 22 must be as good as snuff gets! Toque, well, Whiskey and Honey is allright. High toast, you snuffers, tell me about it!

Tried all, put some money in it, and No 22 is the best so far! The nutty, direkt flavour, a little bit stronger though would not harm:)

#22 is great! I like Toque’s Natural toast a bit more though

Toque to me is too artificiall! My “cup of tea” is Irish High Toast, or High Dry Toast ( Fribourg and Treyer ) ! Toque Natural toast is on trie!

Kind of funny that you think Toque is artificial, considering that Toque is the only company that openly states that they use ONLY NATURAL ingredients, unlike the other companies.

My favorite toasts (and probably favorite snuffs) are F&T HDT, Toque Natural Toast, and WoS #22, in that order. I would miss any one of them from my rotation.

I chose to answer this post instead of his other post that outright bashes other snuffs. I am so sick of the recent troll behavior, and here we go again it seems. The facts are that all snuffs will have merit, or detractors, and we are all about the subtle nuances that distinguish or detract, in each one. I have too much respect for others here, and for their opinions, even if I do not care for that snuff. I personally have enjoyed sharing this hobby with others around the world, and have considered this site one of finest I have had the privilege to participate in. The fact that American trolls have caused such havoc shames me to no end. The fact that this one seems to originate outside the states is still no comfort, but enough about that. I guess this just comes with the territory. I think it is the fact that we take the time to honestly help these people only to have that trust so flippantly betrayed that causes one to recoil in disgust. I find myself extremely reticent to come forward to aid a newcomer without extensive post tracking and research now, pity that. I consider it my obligation to help others here, just as others came forward to guide me when I was so darn green at snuff.

I’ve said it before his first post sounded really trollish but seemed less so and more like a complete lack of english skills. Could be wrong. Sometimes words don’t translate very well and the meaning of words can be lost on a someone who speaks another langauge. Almost sounds like Mikke is using a langauge translater. Which is really my theory. Plus unlike trolls he isn’t jumping right back into it and making any type of stink like trolls almost always do. A troll lives for the reaction and the chance to interact. Most of the time at least. Could be a troll but not 100 percent sure.

My comment was an obvious joke (bad one, perhaps) to Bob. Had nothing to do with the poster in question. But actually, London Jack, there was bit of nastiness & negativity in that person’s post(s). I would think you should be as against that as what was said to him in return. He’s done a bit more than simply state he doesn’t care for Toque. And he most likely was intentionally trying to offend.

@enten-eller. Apologies if it seemed that my remarks were aimed at you. It was just a general remark to try and avoid a troll hunt. I accept your point about the other persons remarks but having spent a couple of months working in finland I found that they dont appreciate the nuances of the english language. Translations to english in my experience seem blunt. Perhaps its this or perhaps you are right.

I thought Mikke was/is a troll, then changed my mind. I’m not saying he’s not a troll, what I’m going to do is give him some time. If he’s a troll, it will soon be obvious. Might be he’s just an outspoken guy who needs to be “cultivated”. I had some private conversations with Walt and he came over as quite a nice guy. So I will be careful in future to not scare off someone who looks like a troll until I’m sure about it. “Wait and see” will be my motto from now on. But all this happenings over the last couple of weeks just show what harm a troll can do. We, as members of the finest snuff forum in the universe, should not be pulled into arguments about trollism.

You know I think the ESL situation is quite true for Mikke. I have puzzled over a couple of his posts too, but the unintended (I Hope) resulting message post was rather sharp and certainly provocative. The thing that gets me is the paranoia of dealing with any members less than two months now. I am no longer able to keep up with all the posts, and am sure that one has slipped through. The latest visit has been stealth, real innocent and roping us in, maddening in a way, but entertaining Too! Just do me a favor and whisper me if I miss one and decide to loan him my car keys or something. I refuse to spend much time trying to keep it all straight. I am hoping the new site software may give us all some ability to flag posts at least. One flag no big deal, maybe a problem, but a bunch of flags should get dealt with quickly.

@Eten-eller: I think you are confused. In the previous thread, London Jack apologized for the way we were “treating” Mateo/Bill/Walt. That is what I was talking about. Not sure what you are talking about, though. EDIT: I can see how it looks like I am calling you “the troll”. Read my edited post above.

@cstokes4. I can see exactly why eten-eller thought you were calling him a troll. I apologised to eten-eller in case he thought my remarks were aimed specifically at him, which they were not. Immediately after my apology you said “@London Jack: The person you were apologizing to was the troll.” I thought you were calling him a troll as you can see my reaction in the post following your remark . From your subsiquent remarks, I accept that you were not, but it proves my point that this troll business is a dangerous path to tread.

And it seems that right after we have absolved Mikke, each other, and all others except Mateo/Bill/Walt from trollitis, Mikke reposts and his ESL is getting much worse, oh well.

If he is, I can only wonder what our posts actually seem to say? If the English to whatever native language he is, Translation is as bad on his end, that might be a hoot! And if his translations are that bad, I might just give him a whole lot of slack!

I wish you could see the Afrikaans/English or English/Afrikaans translations google come up with. It really is VERY bad, a real joke.

If you want an instant surrealist poem, just take a plain english phrase translate it to any other langauge then back into english. Once I took a love poem I wrote translated to some other langauge then back and it said "I like you because you are big like a house.

I think, if one suspects someone a troll, or even if they just don’t like the poster, just ignore their posts. Don’t bait them. If someone is a troll, they just want attention, and giving it to them is feeding the troll. if the troll goes overboard and actually disrupts the board, then it will be obvious, and they’ll be removed. If it’s just a poster saying things that might be considered dumb, or maybe a lack of language ability, or a lack of effectively communicating, and it bothers one, just ignore it.

Irish toast no. 22 is my new friend. I ordered the snuff takers gift pack after only being exposed to Presidents blend and gawith apricot. I was only using the menthols for a few days then I decided to just take irish toast for a serious spin. It took a little while but now I love it… It’s a great contrast to menthol snuffs. Although it’s much easier to sniff into the throat because It’s dryer… Gotta work on my technique.

@Sniff, that’s the way to go! Now on to some SP’s and you’re a made snuffer. Wet your fingers, take a pinch and keep it there for a while. Put your fingers into your nostrils and breathe in slowly. If your nostrils are to narrow, have it stretched by a plastic surgeon.

I know #22 is really good, so I’m not knocking it by any means. But it just seems to me like an american scotch, only smoother than most. And some of the scotches are just about as smooth and on about the same smokiness level. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I was thinking the same thing, enten-eller. I know everyone’s nose is different, but to mine…#22 is similar to Tube Rose.

Yeah, there are several that,to me, seem really close. Tube Rose is one of them.

you know I went to the plastic surgeon right after I read that comment. Now there’s no need to even use pinches. I put 25g tubs directly into the nostril.
