I just saw this movie. It’s pretty good, about killing Nazis. Brad Pitt is in it and carries a wooden snuffbox which he takes pinches from in many of his scenes. Thought you’d like to know.

It’s Basterds. The real Inglorious Bastards is a 70’s Italian film, very good too. I have not seen Basterds yet, I’m not a Tarrantino fan, but I do have a copy of it.
Not a huge tarrantino fan either but I plan on watching this one soon. Why cause it’s got snuff.
Really loved Inglorious Basterds. I am, unlike Tom and Bob, a huge Tarantino fan. The fact that he’s taking pinches while killing Nazis made it all the better.

That’s awesome… I Havent actually seen the film. To the viewers would it seem he’s doing drugs what have you? Or do they somewhat explain it?
They don’t explain it, but its clearly snuff. One assumes the viewers are educated enough to know what snuff is. We have at least two snuff in the movies threads on here. Lots of films have snufftaking scenes.
I seem to remember a character in a Phillip Dick novel using snuff but I can’t recall which book its in. Anyone familiar with Dick’s writings know which story I’m thinking of or am I just mistaken?
According to a book up on google books, Dick was himself quite fond of snuff.
There were a few references to Dean Swift Snuff in those. Which one totally escapes me at the moment.
Shaw Brothers film, Return of the Deadly Venoms, has the “bad guy” snuffing.
I wouldn’t assume the viewers are smart enough. I have seen numerous online discussions on the topic in non-tobacco discussion areas where the overall masses think he is using cocaine. Just saying. Ken
I don’t think people are concluding cocaine use due to stupidity rather than ignorance. A lot of folks just don’t know anything about snuff or that it even exists. I’m still amazed at how quickly our generation has forgotten such a simple part of history. I wonder what else we’ve forgotten and are doomed to repeat or re-discover.
