I got 6 photo kailash a couple weeks ago and upon initially smelling the can after opening it I thought “incense” not what I thought would be pleasant at all, The menthol was a surprise because I hadn’t even immediately detected it with the incense smell. Initially I didn’t like it, but I kept going back to it and it has moved to the front of my go to snuffs. I ordered the 6 photo chetak and got it yesterday, My first impression was that I was at a pig farm for some reason, I can’t explain why I thought that at all, but I thought it smelled like that. After hitting it yesterday and today it’s taken on a world of it’s own. I don’t know what I think it smells like now, but it’s not pig shit and I love it. Are all the 6 photo’s this great? I’m glad they seal the inside of the cans with foil, because I recieved both cans badly dented with the lids off and the foil saved the day. My Gawith Hoggarth M4X, though a plastic tub and a screw top lid arrived with the lid off and snuff dumped in the bag oh well. It happens. It’d be nice if they taped the lids on though.

I can relate to your experience just about 100 percent @jimmyb.
Most of the 6 Photo stable have worked themselves into my rotation.
If I let first impressions be my guide I would never touch this stuff again but after the initial assault these snuffs became very pleasing to my nose.
Not totally sure but I think the complex nature and the fact that most of them can be overwhelming are what threw me at first.
Now that I am familiar with them I can really enjoy them so much more.
Right now the Special and Super Chetak are my favorites of the 6 line but that could change because there are a couple I have not tried.

@jimmyb, I had very similar feelings with 6 Photo Kailash and really enjoy it.  Have not tried any of their others but am looking forward to the experience. 

 Have had a perfectly miserable time though with some of the plastic tubs not only loosening up in shipping but also when just picking them up.  For this reason, once they have arrived I rapidly repackage in a mason jar or something similar.

From a pot luck snafu, I have 2.5 kilos of super chetak… I really I hope I learn to love it…

2.5 kilos @ JohnnyFriday?  How did that snafu occur? You could do a scene from Scarface with a pile like that!

For past offerings and feedback it seems like the Pot luck is generally largely made up of Indian Snuffs.

That’s why I took a pass on the offer.

@JohnnyFriday - sounds like you may have trade material or sell to others at a bargain price…I think there are a lot of people like super chetak

The containers were all busted so I threw them all into 2 protein powder tubs.  They are both full to the brim with 1.2k each(6X200g tubs).  I really don’t see that as trade condition…
