Hi, im wondering, since my friends are going on an american road trip for the youtube channel, how much snuff and snus could they bring back to me as presents without me asking them to do it or paying them any money? they are aware that i want to stock up on scotch, and that i want to try general snus.
It varies from country to country, I believe it’s somewhere between 250-500 grams for UK.
Just have them Mail it to you from USA, Then they don’t have to declare at customs at air port. General Snus is easy to find. Snuff is a different matter ,if they are in the south they may find some Scotches
i found its 250g, combined. i wonder about the posting thing… not looked into that.
250g is a crapload of Scotch anyway; they come in 30 (or is it 35?) gram tins and five tins would be plenty to give you an idea of the range.
yeah, ill ask them to pick some up if they pass through anywhere and see any. im doubting it, but its worth a shot haha. wonder if either item is available in duty free…?
Nah no way, duty frees don’t sell snuff. Only place to buy them IME is Food Lions/Krogers/Tobacco Outlets/Trucker stops in the south and midwest, and sometimes Indian reservations up north.

Looking at your route, I doubt if they will find any scotch snuffs in that region, except maybe Washington in the Indian Reservations. The major cities should have some General snus and maybe some Silver Dollar. General has a store locator on the web. As to the rest you’d need local advice.
Washington state most Tinder Box Tobacco stores have snuff as well as Lil Brown Indian store in Yakima.
If they’re in SF, they may find snuff there, I’m across the bay in Berkeley and there’s a shop here (Whelan’s on Bancroft) that carries Garrett and a few different kinds of Silver Dollar.
