The reoccuring nightmare. Been gone I think for six or eight weeks…medical leave, I guess we could say. The Doc said I could walk around my little town a wee bit, and was thinking of y’all when I saw the tobacconist has closed. I checked in here a few times w/ you Snuffhausers, and noticed we had some new members. Miners, I think. Dig that. The last thing I remember was Matthefox was making new potions, something to do w/ Keith Richards ashes or something, Lunacat had a beef w/ the big guy in England about shipping or something (I goy ya beat, bro. I paid $125. shipping for about a kilo and a half). The Tobacco Lassie was still cute and holding her own w/ us manimals, and Little Alex (from Clockwork?) and Mouse were staring at the night sky (and so was I). Breakfast was being served in a thread (The Basement Shaman Chef had us all by the shorts there, and I hope he’s considering letting my sister out of the cellar). The StokeMeister (who is a genuinely nice guy) and a thousand others were still figuring out how to shave (for my town walk today I waxed my mustache up real nice…), our Bobbie was still maintaining order on the streets w/ just a WHISTLE, if you can imagine that (my Kimber .45 came in from the custom shop ooooh, she’s a beaut), and mold in Creme de Fique which has also happened to me. I did some anyway, which is probably why my wife calls me ‘Twitchy’, there was a snuffbox for sale somewhere for like a million dollars (my wife can buy it w/ the insurance money and keep my ashes in it). To Dr. Faustus: Gawd, I hope that’s not really you in your icon, and I hope 9inchnails doesn’t resemble Marilyn Manson. Actually…why not. I wouldn’t let any of you in the front door anyway. Potpoe was always a perrenial favorite. Him, I HOPE his icon is him. Maybe The Stogie can borrow a pic from you >snicker< And EricJ too. Hamlet had put away his sword…And the new/old guy-frigginsantaclaws. Love him. And I could use him to gnaw through some 2x4’s for a picnic bench I’m making the wife… Roddy is prolly locked in his workshop. Toque has 87 scents? The world has 87 smells to it? Huh. I have pipe tobacco called Haunted Bookshop, so I guess so. His shipping service and prices are still A-One, though, and he seemed like a real gentleman, from his posts. Mr. O, Slide and Distained. What can I say except stay away from my other sister. She already has problems (me for a brother, for one thing) HRPuffnstuff likes blues-that’s cool. My very own punk band from the early 70’s became a blues band after injuries limited our frolics…Bob. Did I mention Bob? He’s always somewhere around here. Let’s hope that’s not his hobby. My thread of New favorite flav o’ the week is still carrying on, which is nice. Maybe, like the furniture I used to build, it will outlive us all. Who’s to say? Dice. I see his icon and think of Dice Clay. I liked his act back in the day when men punched each other in the shoulder instead of hugging them. Been leaning WAY towards the lemon end of the snuff spectrum-WoS’s Lemon Toast and Lemon Grove, and McCrystal’s Mild Lemon. SP’s seem limited to the WoS’s Morlaix. Not the F&T one, w/ it’s super heavy perfume, but the Wilson’s. That stuff is SOOO good, heavy on the lemon and salt, I think. Gotsta get my vitamin C. I like it even more than Grand Cairo. Toque should make a lemon, but not as heavy as they make their Lime. I know I left out a lot of friends, and alot of snuff, so if I forgot to insult anyone, it’ll come back to me. I’ll be around for a while more… And you still can’t put your hand on my thigh (love that gag). Unca Ad_Noseum
Welcome back @d_Noseum. Sure hope that picture isn’t really of you, it looks stoned.
@Mouse Ahh, my friend Mouse. On meds so, a bit stones and hazy. I do some McCrystal’s Mild Lemon, and the screen focuses again. I just got a box of the large cans, so I’ll be good. How’s the wife, Minnie? :-h
Hey, I don’t look like Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson looks like ME!
Trying to decide which of my persona I should photograph to best effect… Welcome back @ ad_noseum!!!
It’s good to be back. Thank you, my friends. I’ve missed the comraderiedariedarie of my fellow nuttos.
@stogie Trying to decide which of my persona I should photograph to best effect… How about the chalk outline on the sidewalk? :))
Welcome back @ad-noseum! I was wondering where you were! Good to see ya!
@TobaccyLassy Thanks, TL. It’s good to be seen.
Welcome back!
Tanks, Puffy.
Welcome back @d_Noseum. Sure hope that picture isn’t really of you, it looks stoned.
I think the whole post was inspired by THC.
@SnuffySnuff Ahh, would that it were. Gone are the days. Now I’m just giddy to be alive and w/ friends. :-h
I’m new here so hello and my wishes that your recovery progress I used to collect guns when in America. Had about 90 and my own mini machine shop. If you can find some pictures of or a for sale (in gun list or shotgun news) of a noland (??many years and memory for the name may be fading a bit) take a look. The greatest pistol smith of all time. I had the pleasure of trading a fully set up for off road Jeep for 3 of his guns and a smith 25 in 45acp. His guns were perfect. Rear safety welded to frame and reblued without a line showing, hand done 30lpi checkering, custom compensators and on and on. Built on gold cup frames. But kimbers are damn good guns. So cheers to your health, snuff and kimber.
Thank’s for the laugh! Good to see ya!
@asieg33 Thanx for the well wish. 90 guns? Beats me. The name Nolan sounds familiar, but can’t quite place it. I’m kind of scattered these days. Thanks for the tip from the inside, though-I’ll keep the glazzies open. I’ve got a Gold Cup, did the trigger job myself. My rarest .45 is a WW II combo Remington Rand/Singer Sewing Machine. EVERYONE was pressed into service. Did some none permanent mods to that one-don’t want to destroy it’s value or historical significance. But it’s still a fine shooter. Tough finding any ammo these days. The dept. Homeland Security recently placed an order for 1.6 billion rounds, even in calibers they don’t use. An end-run around the Second Amendment, a way to keep guns inoperative. Isn’t that the definition of racketeering? Keeping availability low and prices artificially high? I do my own reloading, and you can’t even find primers. They are buying them up as well. But I’m set the rest of my life. Ya’ll have to figure it out.
@Mr_O Hey ! Knew you were around here somewhere! Funny? I’m just a wacky guy, keeping things light. When we hang w/ friends we joke around. It’s the Grandmoms that talk about depressing stuff. Side note- You try that Dragun snuff yet? VERY nice. I think it has Allspice in it. Reminds me of apple pie or something. Yum.
@ad_noseum Welcome back!! Hope you’re recovering well.
@Faust Why, thank you, Fauster! Recovering from my bout w/ sanity, you mean? $-)
