If I like SG - KB Scented then I'll like......

Hi all, As above really. Love the texture, grind and moisture. Currently have the KB special in my order and the after glow which sounds nice. Also going to try out a Poschl Schmalzler. Thanks.

Stay Clear of SG fruit .Mostly all SG snuff has these grinds and moisture except the crests ,toast,sp high mill, and I am sure i left some out; but don’t miss out on them ,all wonderful snuffs. A few my favorites Elmo’s reserve, celtic talisman, Firedance, Black coffee, Scotch Black, Chocolate, Peppermint Dark, Princes Dark, Wild duck. And the list goes on

For other brands, Wilson’s of Sharrow’s Best Dark is of a similarly coarse grind and moisture, though a different scent. I’ve just got a bag of Sternecker Straubinger Schmalzler which I would definitely recommend - once again it’s a similar grind and moistness, but unlike most schmalzlers the fruit syrup scent is only faintly there in the background (dates, I’d say), what you get is a gorgeous scent of walnuts! 100g for seven quid is amazing value for such a quality product, but as it comes in a paper bag I decanted some into an empty tin I had to store the bag in the fridge. And, by happy accident, it was an old Elmo’s Reserve tin that must’ve had a few grains left in (though not even a pinchful, for sure) and the addition of that little touch of tonquin has made in even nicer. Yum!

Thanks chaps. Will get some on my next order.

What is the aroma like in KB Scented? Floral, citrus?

I would say it is mainly a plan snuff but with a light citrus aroma in the nose that clears after the initial burn then you’re left with the lovely base tobacco scent/flavour. Not really done a review before so if the above makes no sense then sorry.

Thanks, Pablo! I suspected it something light citrusy.

It is very nice and highly recomend trying it!

Nobody doesn’t like a Schmalzler. Only problem is keeping it all in your nose. I suggest using a large snuff spoon or a small salt spoon to shovel it in. Best kept in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy.

And then a couple of small corks.
