I have never tried Samuel Gawiths Hazelnut or Almond snuffs. I don’t think I will either.
I expect by now they have the tobacco warning on the labels but do they have the food warning ?
“WARNING MAY CONTAIN NUTS”
Just idle curiosity.

Not that I recall… been a long time since I’ve had either one.
they are artificially flavoured so no they don’t contain nuts
How about Walnut pipe tobacco?
I can understand Wild Duck Snuff not having bits of beak and claws in it, but snuffs and pipe tobaccos that have an acceptable food name like cherry, pine nut , blackcurrant etc. might have had genuine food connections.
Are you making an intelligent guess or have you seen it in print someplace.?
Don’t take this topic too seriously, but if they are mainly artificial flavourings and scents it probably accounts for some of the scents and tastes being way off the mark.
Also, if most of our tastes and scents used in snuff and tobacco these days are artificial, there is probably no similarity between the snuffs of the golden age of snuff taking and our offerings of today.
Golden age of snuff taking? 180 years ago, or 18 months ago? I’d suggest the former for the snuff mills, and the latter for the user. Apologies for the derailment, but I would suspect that us snuff users have had it better recently than they did in days of old. Hundreds upon hundreds of snuffs from all over the world brought to your door, in a multitude of different styles, textures and aromas. Direct contact with snuff producers globally, who are willing to take on new ideas and make snuffs to your own desires. But yes, I don’t expect Wild Duck to contain feathers either. interesting thoughts about nuts though
I dont know about other snuff companies but SG has confirmed that they use ONLY artificial flavors in their snuffs and Toque has confirmed that they use ONLY natural flavours in their snuffs.
I have just taken look at the pictures of Toque on Snuff Me.
On the adverts they have for Almond Toast…with a rich baked almond aroma.
for Peanut Butter…no actual peanuts involved in the production of this snuff.
From the advertisement, Almond Aroma is a bit vague but Peanut is OK.
So we now have the ludicrous situation were the EEC can domineer the best part of the label with their over the top Government Health Warnings with no space left on the label for sensible consumer advice about ingredients.
And I bet the Hooray Henrys in the Houses of Parliament at London, still haven’t glued a big label on the communal snuff box ,showing a Government Health Warning, covering 50percent of the box, and guarded by the Head Doorman,
