I’m a slow snuser, as is the author of this article…I go through maybe 4 portions a day, and sometimes my (Moist, non dry or white) portions dry out . I’m gonna try this… http://snusauthority.com/blog/snus-tips-tricks/make-a-snus-humidor-in-four-simple-steps/

Clever!

i use tobacco humidifying stones, got them from a site awhile ago when i smoked pipe, cigars and rolling tobacco (the cigars in between made the tobacco last longer than its moisture content) so i didnt end up with pouches of unintentional dry snuff. found they work ok for snus too. i make sure to use bought distilled water though, as i remember emergency tap water once ruined some pipe tobacco with mould. i dont think i could sacrifice the ‘ashtray’ (is that actually an appropriate name, really?) as i do use it a lot.

I like the stones (discs??) too, for my pipe baccy. Maybe I should just buy a bunch of the humidiscs and put them in all my open cans. But I’m going to try the holes-in-lid for one can. I used the “ashtray” alot too, but I’ll see how it goes.

yeah, mine are discs. sit nicely on the bottom of the tub. i scrub them clean, dry them out then use them. i reckon theres a market for a proper snus humidifier… maybe an electronic one thatll pump moisture into the tub. i think snus needs to be a bit too moist for typical methods, though my stones do make it last a little longer.

Good article and idea, stones sound good too.
