When I started on the snuff last September I enjoyed the burn. I recon it must be about Christmas when I last had a good burn. I miss the burn so much Surly I’m not alone? I guess it’s like any drug, after a while you don’t get the same feeling as when you started…Bummer!
Although I only started using snuff this past January, I too no longer feel much of a burn with most snuffs. I give some to a friend and it will bring tears to their eyes. The only solution for me has been to take a bigger pinch than when I first started out.
Its funny but I enjoy it more without the burn, but I mostly do get it even after years of taking it.
I’ve discovered that the level of burn tends to increase the further into my sinuses that I take snuff. I think that is why so many new snuffers experience quite a bit of burn. The fact that you now get very little burn, most likely means that you have mastered your technique. To get the burn back, snuff harder and deeper. I like to torture myself sometimes with a big pile on the back of my hand just to get that burn back.
if you miss the burn buy a tin of thunder frosted los snus and snuff a pinch of that. It actualy snuffs decently (rather use regular snuff myself) however it has long lasting burn. Me personaly find more pleasure without the burn then with.
Does this mean there is hope for the future as far as the Dholkia White goes? I cannot snuff it at all without burn. Even when I just sniff the smell from the tin it burns.
I also love any snuff which gives a bit of a burn. Spanish Jewel is the one which never fails to give my nose a good shake.
All of my favorite snuffs still give me an incredible burn, and if I’m lucky, uncontrollable muscle spasms in my feet and lower legs. The OP must be using WoS Strasbourg. Snuffing without a burn is like smoking an ultra light cigarette that gives you no sensation upon inhaling. I guess some people like that sort of thing, but not me. If Dholakia White doesn’t sting like hell, you’re doing something wrong.
Bernards Kownoer gives me a bit of a burn although not as strong as I prefer. Dholakia White is more a “sting” rather then a “burn” for me.
i recently found an old medicated snuff recipe that calls for adding 1 oz. of black pepper to 1 lb. of snuff.
Don’t forget to grind and sieve the pepper first.
@Pieter’s "Bernards Kownoer gives me a bit of a burn although not as strong as I prefer. Dholakia White is more a “sting” rather then a “burn” for me. " Have you ever considered selling your nose to the United States Pentagon or the NSA? (they might be very interested)
see I knew I wasn’t crazy black pepper is a great snuff scent!!!
Try some A/P by the Kralingse…or any of their Latakia based snuffs…
