I guess people DO do it (for Toque....)

I know Roderick was frustrated when the FDA made him label his snuffs “May cause mouth cancer” and I sympathize with his frustration - these are for our noses, right?  Well, on another tobacco forum I recently saw a post that said (I’m paraphrasing here), “This snus was so dry it reminded me of when I used to dip scotches, what you would call ‘nasal’ snuff.”  I thought the southern practice of using scotches orally had died out, but I guess not.  Sigh.

99% of dry snuff use in the United States is done as dip.  Snuffers are the exception.

I can see a lot of the sweets being dipped, tasty!  But…  Honestly, wouldn’t it almost feel like sand in the mouth…?  LOL.

I’ll just put it up my nose, thanks :-)

Once you get the hang of it it’s pretty tasty, IMHO.

That is so messed up. I think warnings are necessary, but when they are made from poor judgement it is repuslive. My, HG’s, SG’s and poschls that are not in german say “this product can damage your health and is addictive”

@perique couldn’t agree more. I’ve never done dip except with sweet scotch. I usually snuff them but it does taste great either way.But anything not as strong as a scotch isn’t worth dipping IMO. The advantage of dipping a scotch as opposed to long cut is that it won’t make you sick if you swallow it. I’ve never tried chaw because I just wouldn’t want to be spitting all the time. I’ve had to spit badly enough from smoking cigars.
