Hi I have just purchased some NORMAL SIZE Humidor Acrylpolymer Humidifier Crystals from ebay to use when hydrating my homemade snuff, and to rehydrate any snus/snuff that have dried out a little. They cost around £4 GBP including postage. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350382762381&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Will I be ok to use freshly boiled water as I don’t have easy access to distilled water? If not I would have a look round but if I could avoid it I would do. Anyone else used these before? I’m kind of winging it Regards Steve

I’ve used them in humidors. I think you’ll find 70% RH a little low for rehydrating snuff, but a search here will provide many useful methods. As far as water; distilled is generally used to avoid primarily mold spores, but also calcification over time. You should be just fine using boiled water.
