Thought you might find this as interesting as I did. Apparently, human beings can distinguish one trillion odors. Hard to believe at first but check out this study. Very cool article; I’ve definitely had snuffs I couldn’t possibly describe. That’s one of my favorite things about snuff, new snuffs are often pretty unique sensory experiences. It’s not every day you see something you’ve never seen or hear a sound you’ve never heard but every new snuff-order is a box of new scents.

Good point. I have read many times that our sense of taste is nowhere near as developed or complex or subtle as our sense of smell. I guess this study provides some evidence of that. For me, since I became serious about snuff, I have come to appreciate our sense of smell vastly more than I ever did before.
