Does anyone have any hints for using Red Seal without choking. Everytime I take a pinch I can’t help but cough. The other scotches don’t do this to me, or are not quite as severe.

B

Well, you CLUB a seal…don’t try to get close and CHOKE them or you will find their extremely powerful flippers upside your head in a blink of an eye!!!

B

Sorry, I misread your post. Some people say wet your finger before taking a pinch,Symbolist. Maybe that will help. (But my advice on seals still stands)

S

Up, Down, Triangle, Square, Down, Down, R1, Circle, Left. That’s the cheat code, that’s what you wanted right? Srs dood, people need to chill out with the “halp! how do I take the lid off my snuff properly?” threads. Snuff is meant to be a pleasurable pastime, if it doesn’t feel good or right then don’t do it, never mind what other people do.

F

You can also rub the pinch gently between your fingers to pick up the oil from your skin…and then club the barstard!

B

Yes, these all be true, and a cub’s skin can be oily as well…just don’t look in those BiG EYeS!!!

F

lol @ carp!! you forgot…spit over your right shoulder, stand on one legs, and make sure Saturn is alighnment with your an…sorry meant Uranus!

F

I hope tha poor fella realizes that there’s a plethora of smartasses on this forum, and its all in good fun…sometimes the gel like substance in those BIG EYES can help too!

R

I recently made a mistake with rooster…was using a grinder with some other snuffs and rooster to mix…i did not dry the grinder well before i used it and some rooster got hydrated a bit…little darker in color and was really nice to sniff! considering slightly hydrating all my scotches.

N

The proper code is: ↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A Start It gives you 30 lives. Plenty of chances to snuff Red Seal and die a few times.

O

I usually pinch, but for Scotches I prefer a snuff spoon.

A

With very potent snuffs I take a pinch and insert it slighlty into the nostril, as opposed to immediately underneath it. I don’t know why, but for me it eliminates a lot of the burn. Some people love the burn, I don;t.

N

No, no the cheat is you pick Cinder and then on the vs screen you hold right and push L, R, X, B, Y, A, and thats how you play as Eyedol…wait a minute, what were we talking aboot again?

N

Try snuffing scotches off the back of your hand. I find it gives more control plus you can snuff bigger pinches. Sorry, I couldn’t think of any smart ass, uh, I mean clever comments.

S

I stand on my head and pour the snuff in, using a funnel. Just kidding. Try snuffing without using the lungs, it can be done.

J

Dropping your adams apple creates enough vacuum for most light snuffs.

F

An addition to Juxtaposer’s comment…if you keep your abdominal muscles tight, and make a note to breathe gently with just your nose instead of “belly breathing” it tends to make the inward airflow much lighter.

S

Take some Bruton first. +1 streetcarp; I have “enjoyed” Red Seal 50/50 Toque Peanut Butter.

D

sorry but i just have to point out that seal clubing woz banded in the 80’s… as the seals where useing up all the bar stalls and making the night clubs stink of bloody FISH !!!

J

(cue trombone) wah wah wah…but it’s true, I’ve found Red Seal to be some potent stuff my damn self. Whatever method is used, brace yourself, hehehe…

P

@thesymbolist, I love Red Seal but use it sparingly. The only way I can take it is by wetting my fingers SLIGHTLY, take a pinch and keep it between my fingers for a while. I then hold my fingers near my nostril and just SMELL the snuff while SLOWLY releasing the pressure. You will find that, in time, you will be able to take bigger and bigger pinches. Give your nose time to get used to this new snuff. DON’T GIVE UP!!

N

I once saw a nicotine content chart on all American snuffs. Bruton was no. one, second was Red Seal and Navy Plain and RR Mills Plain tied for third. I thought it was interesting that Rooster was quite a way down the list.

M

I mix RS with other, slightly coarser snuffs. Today I ground two cardamom seeds in my coffee mill and put them in my carry box 1/2 full of RS. The result was a sweet, fine snuff, still giving the unique scent of the RedSeal with a hint of Indian-ness via the cardamom. I like this snuff. I have a huge 5 oz. jar of it and not a day goes by that I don’t have at least one good sized pinch. I feel fortunate to have found it.

H

Start with miniscule pinches and gentle sniffs, working your way up to your tolerance level. As you progress, your tolerance will probably increase.

S

No, don’t do miniscule pinches. That’s exactly what you shouldn’t do! BIG PINCHES. EVERY TIME. BIG PINCHES. THE MORE SNUFF YOU PACK IN, THE LESS IRRITATING IT IS. With EVERY SINGLE SNUFF. INCLUDING THE WHITES. Your nose will get used to it with practice. That’s all it takes. PRACTICE. No. 1 snuffing rule. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to the BIG PINCH RULE. (Capitalisation emphasis, not shouting )

S

Oh poo. I must apologise for the presentation, tone and lack of manners in the above post. Whilst I firmly stand by my point above, I’m appalled by how I’ve posted it. This in no way excuses me, but add alcohol to snus withdrawal, and the resulting bad temper which has been going on for the last 8ish days has been intense and affected my posting yesterday. You may have noticed I’ve been largely absent recently. This is the reason. I’m in an awful mood. Sorry snuffhouse

Nice! I did not think of that. That is some weird, wild schtuff. I just tried that with some Tom Buck. It’s like freakin magic! Thanks!

I am an advocate of hydrating scotches.

Tonka bean!

M

@Tobe what a pain in the ass to snuff but very nice sent when some finally ended in my nose in stead of in my lungs not very sweet but very nice.

T

@Marielle32 This thread has some good ideas for keeping it out of your lungs!
