Hello, first time user here. Just picked up some w.e. garrett scotch snuff, which is a dry powder. Im just wondering what the best advice is for when your nose is packed and starts to get filled with mucous. Is this normal?
Well, My suggestion is to get a good handkerchief and use often…
Typically dry unperfumed snuffs cause less mucous, such as scotches. I’d put it down to your nose adjusting to snuff. Stick at it. Things will improve.

Huge pinches.
For me if my nose isn’t runny after I take my snuff I don’t feel like it’s working correctly. I get a better nic hit when it’s runny.
It comes with the territory really. When at home, and I snuff a lot, it dries out and all snuffs go to the lungs. At work, which involves a lot of walking and physical labor, my nose runs like crazy. For me, I’m learning my congestion is related to how often I blow my nose and resnuff. Sometimes I get into the habit of cycling snuff a lot, and I get congested from the irritation to my sinuses(since I have gone back to snuffing after smoking for 5 months, my use has increased quite a bit). In the morning when I wake up, I get a pretty hard buzz and it kicks in a lot faster than I would expect. Also, at work I have to remember to wash my upper lip, as I use a clippers to maintain a 10 o’clock shadow. If I don’t, I inadvertently walk around with a Hitler stash which prominently stands out against my blonde facial hair.
I actually sport a hitler moustache, mostly for comic effect. People have said I look like a very intense Chef. Lol
@JohnnyFriday and @saucy_jack I think the Hitler stache used to be called a toothbrush stache, prior to Hitler making it infamous.
Indeed, you’re right. But now it’s a Hitler moustache. Kudos on being technical though. Lol
Or Ollie Hardy http://img.timeinc.net/time/photoessays/2010/top10\\_duos/laurel\\_hardy.jpg or Charlie Chaplin: http://www.nndb.com/people/876/000023807/charlie-chaplin.jpg
I wonder how many people see one of those moustaches and DON’T think of Hitler, good 2nd and 3rd places though. Though I suppose it’s all moot.
