I was sitting here wondering, “Am I snuffing too much?”. I take 2 healthy pinches usually every hour sometimes longer. How often do you pinch?

On usual days I take 2 to 3 pinches each nostril per hour, but I do find myself pinching more often sometimes- consecutive pinches of different snuffs adding up to maximum of 10 pinches in one hour followed by a 1-2 hours break, it depends. I’ve started using snus lately witch has reduces my snuff usage a bit.

Usually I don’t count my pinches but I’ve just watched the newest episode of CSI, so approx. 45 minutes and during that time I took about 20 quite big pinches into each nostril, but I had WOS Irish Coffee in my hand, which I just can’t stop pinching. Normally when I’m not doing anything snuff would distract me from, like watching a movie I’d say it’s about 10-15 pinches an hour. When I read a book I take a pinch after each chapter (since I started to do it I noticed I read mainly books that have short chapters ;D). Normally I think it’s like 2-4 pinches an hour for me.

Actually I don’t use that much tissues. Well, it depends on what I’m taking at the moment, but I don’t get my nose run too often.

Oh, well I am burning through tissue as I need to blow after each pinch is settled and ready to move on. But I hear that will get better with time.

I average around 4 pinches per hour.

I only snuff when I’m not smoking my pipe. Just most of the day. When it starts to run out my nose, I blow and take another toot.

You should really invest in some cloth handkerchiefs, make sure they are dark in color though. I went to Wal-Mart and bought 7 for a buck each, one for each day of the week.

I’ve come to prefer white/light ones, oddly enough. I can see where I’ve been already, and when its time to get a new one out.

I snuff like 20 “spoonfuls” a day.

3-4 pinches an hour

Seems to be about a pinch an hour while at work. Around the house or out and about, as often as circumstance permits. But I cannot use white handkerchiefs. Much to glaring. I like the colors and patterns achieved with bright red ones. (-;

It depends very much where I am. If I am at work usually a pinch every hour or two depending on how busy I am If I am at home I average 2-3 pinches per hour If I am in the pub it could be twice that! lol

I’ve never counted. Perhaps I should, but I can’t really see the point. When I smoked I was a slave to a set routine of how much and when, and that’s the last thing I want with snuff. I just take a pinch when I want to. Sometimes hours pass without a pinch, sometimes I chain snuff. It just depends on the circumstances.

As my snuff collection seems to be growing rapidly [weekly] due to new laws and regulations forthcoming i think i am using more a few times before lunch a couple times after lunch and always after dinner although i like to have swedish snus inbetween that collection also growing lol cheers
