I was wondering how much snuff or how many snuffs does most use in a day?
Anything between 2g and 5g depending which snuff I’m on and what I’m doing.
Haven’t measured but I’d guess 6-12 pinches a day depending on mood, etc. If I get a new package in the mail then all bets are off!

Probably 75-100 small pinches a day. But along with Snuffbox, when the new package comes I can’t keep my nose out of it.
It seems that every few weeks without fail someone posts a thread with a similar title! LOL I should make one of them a sticky thread. My snuff intake depends on what I’m doing that day. If i’m at home (i.e at the weekend) I can sniff 18-25 pinches a day. If i’m at work it will be more like 8-10 pinches per day…not sure how much that is in grams I’m afraid.
I was wondering about this becasue I find my self reaching for the snuff every 45 minutes or so and being so new to snuff I don’t know if this is considered alot. Also I don’t know a person that uses snuff and feel funny using snuff in public.

At least you know a load more snuff takers now (here of course). Compared with my snuff usage a pinch every 45 minutes would be quite light I think. I guess I just don’t do things by halves… 
Nobody around here (Hull, England) bats an eyelid when I get my snuff box out. How it would be viewed where you are would depend on where you are. Personally I wouldn’t worry about it. A sticky thread is one that stays at the top of the list rather than dropping down with time.

Jimmyc I actually have to turn down offers to pinch from other people’s tins several times a day! Life is grand…
Snuffbox are you in the U.S.? Why do you turn them down, to many people offering? You must not be in the U.S. Just took Dholakia Swiss Chocolate for the first time. Its incredibale how good it is, just want to keep snuffing. Smells so good I almost want to eat it. There seems to be an unending variety of snuff. Don’t know what to try next.
I have to keep turning them down because everyone is so generous with their snuff, I guess it’s like the old days of snuffing where it was bad manners not to offer snuff when you take a pinch. If I have a few in the morning I’m all set for hours so when I go out and people start offering I’ve already had enough. Good problems to have, I suppose! Half the fun of snuffing is finding new ones you like. The old timers have it easier if they’ve settled on favorites. I’m heading that way now, I have too many varieties and can’t go through them fast enough.
You need to be in our Local on a Wednesday evening when ermtony and myself fill the table with tins and snuff boxes anyone is welcome for a pinch or three.

I don’t think any of us can believe how well Hull City are doing this year! The old F&T tins are okay but all have a underlying flavour which suggests some sort of flavour contamination at some point in the past. Still very sniffable though. Now I’d better ponder on which snuffs to take to the pub tonight. Partly depends on whether the postie brings my Snuff Store order today.
