I seem to have developed the need to carry around with me ( at last count) 7 snuff boxes & 4 snuff bullets.I think perhaps this is excessive, but I really like taking different varieties throughout the day. Perhaps because I can slip them in my bag easily, it’s ok & they are not heavy. But well, my lovely husband only carries one box around with him and laughs at my portable stash collection. What about you guys, do you stick to one type , one box all day? Is it just me that has loads of little boxes in my bag?

I actually got a man purse to carry around as many different ones as you, but when I don’t use that I carry anywhere from 1-5 in my pockets (1 if I’m going to the gym or on a run. Then I only need my trusty scotch box)

Yikes … I just have my lil turn tin and a bullet or 2 .

I don’t always leave the house with snuff, but when I do I usually carry at most three. They are usually in a steel flip-top, one of my two rosewoods and a bullet. I’ll sometimes leave the rosewood behind if I decide to carry a tap-box.

I’m a bit of an exception because I sell snuff at the Tobacco shop at which I work; I keep a lot around so I can sample some of the varieties to customers and so I can introduce it to new potential customers. That being said I typically have no less than 20 snuffs on me at any time. When I’m not going to work or somewhere where I think I might find some new converts/customers I carry between 2 and 5 varieties on me.

Most of the time one. On occasion two. When traveling I carry a variety in amber bottle in my backpack to replenish my snuff box every morning.

Usually one, unless I have a bag with me in which case I might carry one or two more!

Always one box and two bullets, the box for the coarser snuffs and the bullets for the rest! this on a daily basis, if travelling away from the stash for more than a day, well… still haven´t travelled that far since started snuffing so I don´t know :>

Well I have one snuff box and it’s for natural snuffs cause that’s the kind I realize I can’t go without. Carry 2-5 tins with me depending on what I’am doing if I’am going for a stroll or to the store it’s box and two tins if I’am hanging out it’s more like box and five. Cause it sucks when you think man I could really go for something floral or medicated but I left that one at home. Plus if you drop one down a gutter at least you still have enough snuff.

I don’t have snuff boxes at all until now but I have 3 bullets which I carry with me when I am out with 3 different snuff.

It all depends on how long I’m going away for. When I was first getting into snuff i’d fill a Crown Royal bag with a dozen tins and boxes just to go downstairs to watch a movie. Usually I have one or two when going out but when I try to decide what to take, I sometimes go back to the snuff drawer three or four times before I leave, all whilst hearing a female voice near the door crying “Aren’t you ready yet?! What are you doing up there?”

exactly what xander said. i remember having all those snuffs sitting on the end table while watching a movie. and why is my wife nagging you too?! the exception would be chess nights. i keep a nice variety in my chess bag for friends to sample, along with my flask of bourbon.

Around the house and town, just a smash box of Viking Dark. To work, at least 10-20 different types.

I like to carry around two minimum, although I frequently find myself with only one in my pockets at a time. This of course changes based on which job I’m working at the time; when cleaning I only carry one, construction I’ll have two (one in the pocket, one in the tool box), coffee shop I have three. And I’m always paranoid about running out, so I always have a tin of scotch in my van.

I carry, AT MOST, 3 large heartwood snuffboxes.

Loads - I think nicotine robs you of the ability to decide which snuff you want to get your hit from. It’s usually Molens Pompadour & Bon Bon, WoS Royal George, Lemon Grove, Best Dark, Brunswick, Cinnamon, sometimes IHT No.22 and sometimes an SP of some kind, SnuffStores Cafe Noir, Dean Swift Camelopard, and sometimes their Specific. Might take GH Irish D as well, as I’m still trying to work out if I like it. Probably won’t know until it’s all gone!

Depending on my mood, I carry between 2 and 6 each day.

I carry the snuffhouse box, a toque 10g tin filled with whatever I want for the day and 1 bullet.

I am down to carrying 4 ,3 snuffhouse.org boxes holstered on my belt and a wooden box of choice in the pocket

For work, about 6-8 tins. If I go out locally, I just take two. At home, the sky’s the limit.

I don’t own an actual snuff box but I do carry a variety of snuff with me to work & keep some in the trucks glove box. I tried taking just a couple and found myself feeling like something was missing.

When I leave the house, which is rarely I usually take 1-3 smash boxes with me, depending on how long I expect to be away from home.

Okay I am reviving this thread, as it will be interesting to see what the newer members do, and also to see if anyone has changed their habits. So as of April 2018 I no longer carry snuff bullets around, but still carry on average about 5 snuff boxes in my handbag. What do you do now?

One box all day every day, sometimes a Posh bullet. The bullet is generally left at home now, but I never have my Ted Cash German silver box out of arm’s reach.

  I have trouble deciding on just one so usually have 4 or 5 (or 6 or 7) on me at all times, even when i’m at home.

 I always have a  fine ground snuff or a toast but have to balance that with a courser grind and, if i find myself out in the woods, it’s nice to have some menthol…taking a walk with my nose fully open is quite pleasant.  

  Today i only have 2 on me and been mostly only using one.  The Cafe Noire might be my new Sunday snuff.

 Hey @thatotherguy I have a Ted cash box too! Me and that box are inseparable. I’ve had Thor’s hammer in it for the past four days and the box seems to be keeping it nice and fresh.

Not typically any boxes unless it’s from or to the mail box. I do always have a can of snus or dip and sometimes a can (tin) of Toque Toast and Marmalade that I carry around tho. My worthy snuff boxes are all on a shelf in my house for visual appreciation and dust collection. All the tap boxes of snuff I’ve ever received were immediately transferred to more appropriate storage and then trash canned.

Usually only two and the third being a tap box of something Poschl.

usualy  gletscherprise, jubi,ozona c which i have double and are always in the pocket then i grab a bullet with thunder abri and a rosinski along with a snus

1 only ever one. Snuff to me is more enjoyable when you pick one for the day. And then use it for all your snuff needs. You get a better profile of the snuff that way for one thing. 

1-3…more if Im actually going out for long…then again, I dont go out for long! I did bring my entire stash when goin to the old cabin though…I dont even know why Im carrying snuff with me to be honest; at work, my fingers are covered in diesel, petrol, oil and whatnot, so I rarely take a pinch at work.

I keep Toque USA W&H in the car (it was bone-dry sitting at a store for 1yr anyway) and am filling 2 bullets in the morning to carry - 1 non- and 1 mentholated

I carry three boxes 

2 usually. a regular snuff and a strong menthol

right now i have JH Wilson med 99 and WE Garrett in my pocket

I only tend to carry one or two these days, and the rest have been relegated to the metaphorical back of a drawer as spares. One of them is usually a light fairly plain or citrussy snuff, and the other a coarser, deeper scented snuff. Occasionally I might carry a 10g Toque tin instead of one or both snuffboxes, either with the original contents in, or recycled and filled back up with something else.

I found some nice 1-2 g plastic jars- enough to represent about half of my snuffs. There will typically be 5 in my pocket for the morning which I’ll replace with 5 new ones in the evening. It’s a little high maintenance to keep 30 or 40 little jars stocked, but the payoff is convenience of use and a constant variety- which is the spice of life.

I keep a few in my truck, and a few in my toolbox at work, and a few in my pockets…

Typically one heartwood 2x3 box of a schmalzler and my two tobacco horns.

2: 1 for when I’m drinking pale ale or gin, and the other for dark beers or whisky. I’m not a dipsomaniac; just uncommonly thirsty.

I recently ordered Packards club and Ozona president, with the hopes they can be taken apart and refilled with a snuff of choice once I deplete it

I always carry too many snuff boxes with me… I would be fine with just two or three, but never can make decisions, so I end up with a bag full of tins.

Does anybody know if this is possible

I used to always have two boxes with me at all times when I snuffed the first time round a few years back. Now that I’m getting back into it, I’ve had to replace my boxes and so have bought, err, four.

@Chapman I’ve had a couple of Packards containers for ten years or so and occasionally use them. They’re very convenient and give a consistent dosage. The only reason I don’t use them more often is that I prefer to pinch straight from a box.

@Dxx thanks again, that is good to know, I like to do the box car method but always use my knife to spoon from my tin to my thumb nail, a good tap box should make that so much easier

I carry a small twist-tin with High Dry Toast always.

Occasionally I will also put a small tin of Toque in my pocket.

So… HDT always, and occasionally two containers in my pocket.

Forgot to mention the handy blue violet 5ml vials that Rosinski has.

Believe you can get these off Amazon as well, got two of those and a tobacco horn today.

I no longer use bullets - that didn’t last long I always have a Toque tin in my pocket with either Toque or a couple days worth of SWS inside. In the car I keep a tin or two of Toque as well. More recently I’ve been carrying a tin of McCrystals or WoS as well for when I feel like menthol.

This is my first proper day of snuff after being away for a few years and getting my deliveries yesterday. I’m carrying three, a round chrome one from Wilson’s that has Toque Coke in it and two of the Mr Snuff plastic boxes, one with Wilson’s Royal George and one with Samuel Gawith Celtic Talisman. Plus, I’ve just received 6 tap boxes of Bernard’s so I’ve got those as well! There was a thread on here somewhere (I’ve been trawling through a lot of old posts the last couple of days, so I can’t find it!) about having snuff boxes with a mirror in them to check for the tell tale brown marks around ones nostrils. The Wilson’s chrome box has a polished centre and, if I shut one eye and squint a bit, it’s a serviceable mirror. I carry around 2-3 max when I am traveling. In the city there is no problem, each desk of mine at home and work is filled with tins and tins of snuff. 

I use to carry a snuff box but I could never find one secure enough it would always spill out I tend to cart a bullet with me but have recently got into an argument with someone over Facebook of all places about how he thinks bullets are reserved for drugs as I tell him he is crazy he proceeds to block me. What is everyones take on the snuff bullet, suitable for snuff or reserved for drugs. I would like to think the majority will agree with me and side that snuff bullets are for just that using SNUFF

I tried to find snuff bullets in some head shops which had every conceivable device for consuming illegal drugs except syringes. They had no idea what I was talking about. Bullets can leak and break open. People who are paying 100 dollars or 150 Euros per gram are very unlikely to carry their blow around in a bullet IMO; nevertheless, untill snuff popularity increases by magnitudes, using in public will tend to be misconstrued. Stealth is the word.

When go out I carry two boxes, one with a blend of Toque Whiskey and Honey and McChrystal Sicilian Burst. The other is usually a Poschl tap box, President or Apricot. But since I home school one of my four boys, I usually get to enjoy all my snuffs all day. My husband carries a tap box but has found it cumbersome at work. Been thinking of buying him a preloaded bullet. I agree @Officialbenstein and @SammyD13 that people see snuff as something illegal. So annoying… the ignorance of the general public.

I associate bullets with illegal substances as well but understand the use with actual snuff. @sammyD13 I think the stigma came from many years ago when those other substances may not have been so expensive. But I wasn’t alive then so maybe I’m talking out my arse. When I think of a snuff bullet, I picture a roller disco. Lol

@ar47 one of my friends got the snuffmaster snuff box but the jerk loaded it with white elephant, I was near on the floor :)) it is a good tool but careful what you load into it

@StillLearning I only use bullets when the weather means a pinch is not going to work. I was walking home in a huge rain storm. A cop pulled by when I was using the bullet got my attention to give me the “oh you crazy kids” disapproving head shake. I still find that funny. @Officialbenstein are you really sure that’s a friend and not the worlds most patient assassin? It’s worth considering.

 taking just Toque Quit, all day, every day, so all i have with me at this moment is a little round plastic

 container of it.

I use WoS 5g tins. I even put my Bernards in them (I think it makes them taste better but I don’t know why). Usually I’ll just take one, but if I take a second it is almost always an Irish Toast.

Love toasts.  Just realized i kind of like mixing my Irish 22 with the Quit; two faves in one  mix, badda-bing, badda-boom.

I have a variety compulsion. 5 shifts of 5 different snuffs on hand. Every individual snuff is taken once. Once 25 are taken in a day, then repeats are allowed. This helps prevent me from burning through (or burning out on) my favorites. I put snuff in in tiny plastic jars, so carrying 5 in my pocket is no problem.

I always keep two in the car these days, whatever they are. The past couple weeks those have been Toque Vanilla and Toque Lavender The I keep at least one menthol on me, but usually a non-menthol too. Lately it’s either a Toque fruit menthol or a J&H Med-blended fruit menthol and optionally a Toque or WoS floral or SP

I have a wooden WoS that I keep my scotches or toasts in, a neat little metal box that I found on ebay a few years ago and whatever tin is to hand.

lately I’ve been carrying a bullet filled with hedges. i never liked bullets before but with a strong menthol in one is wonderful. my main complaint with bullets is they carry so little snuff and they dispenses such a tiny amount but a tiny bit of hedges goes a long way. its great for decongesting your nose and its amazing after a hard days work you’re hot and sweaty . i tried other snuffs in my bullet but i didn’t like it so id even go as far as to say bullets are only good for strong menthols.

Not a fan of bullets myself, but never tried menthols in a bullet… I’m going to give it a try with Hedges. In a way I can imagine it can work. Thanks for the suggestion @peacock !

I keep different ones in different areas to use. So I have a couple out in my bedroom, one in the living room, and a couple at work. I’ll carry one around with me on occasion but I usually don’t feel the need to.

I don’t like bullets either, the dose is way too small and there is a routine ritual that one gets into when partaking of a pinch. In comparison, I feel that using a bullet has a brutish appearance.

I like to make sure that people can see that I’m not snorting some sort of white powder.

Three now. Keep one medicated snuff, one aromatic like Kailash or Super Kailash. And one for the now staple Umbrella Dark Brown.
