We Snuff connoisseurs are all here because we use and probably love our snuff. The wonderful thing about this forum and all internet forums is that we can communicate and congregate from all over the world. So I want to make this thread for the benefit of us all; to be able to find snuff despite our location and to enable the pursuit of being thrifty about our hobby/passion/habit or however you see it. I would certainly like to see how many options are out there, and I hope the rest of you would as well. I think it would be best to list out all the online snuff dealers you know, and perhaps a short description about their inventory, where they do and do not ship to, and even if they have good deals on bulk snuff. I’m also curious to know what snuff brands you can buy directly from.
Note: Some Sites may ship to your country, yet do not have a currency converter, for these situations you may want to use www.xe.com to figure out the cost in your respective currency. www.smoke.co.uk#sthash.E7vcXti7.dpuf http://www.snuff.me.uk/ - Ships to the USA, medium-small selection with some really good bulk deals, store brand snuff called ‘Jaxons’, mixed boxes available might be good for trying out different snuffs. Ships: UK, US, EU www.smoke.co.uk#sthash.E7vcXti7.dpuf http://www.snuffstore.co.uk/index.php - I know this website used to have a smaller selection, now owned by Mr.Snuff, Abraxas brand available. http://www.mysmokingshop.co.uk/ - Sells pipe, rolling, chewing tobacco and cigars on top of snuff. Ships: UK, Europe, and “rest of world, cant ship tobacco leaf products to USA” this apparently includes Tobacco, Cigars or Snuff. http://www.mcgahey.co.uk/ - McGaheys (Devon, UK) http://www.wesleys.co.za/ - Wesley’s of South Africa http://www.snusory.com/index.php/ http://mcchrystalsusa.com/catalog/index.php#sthash.E7vcXti7.dpuf - Apparently not affiliated with McChrystals but sells their products and more. http://www.davy.co.uk/CigarAndSnuff.php?menuid=4 - This website sells a wide range of things besides snuff and tobacco http://www.snuff-and-more.de/ - This German store has a wide selection http://www.snuffstore.de/onlineshop/ - ebay.de - search snuff brands Company’s Own: http://www.toquesnuff.com/ - Excellent website, very simplistic options, not expensive. Ships: Worldwide http://www.sharrowmills.com/ - Wilson’s of Sharrow. Ships: UK, EU http://www.mcchrystals.co.uk - McChrystal’s, renown for their Original & Genuine http://www.snuifmolenswebshop.nl/ - Molens Snuff and Spices
I think as places get mentioned, they should all be edited into the first post, or that second post, to keep the list at the top. http://www.sharrowmills.com/ wilson’s of sharrow. I like the idea of this thread btw.
@Firestarter0 Hmm, good idea, I will edit them in, and any additional information that people say about a website I will also add in, i’m sure people would like to know if shipping is available in their country.
ok. http://www.mysmokingshop.co.uk/- sell pipe, rolling, chewing tobacco and cigars on top of snuff. Have shipping to UK, Europe, and ‘rest of world’. says cant ship ‘tobacco leaf’ products to USA, this apparently includes Tobacco, Cigars or Snuff.
Great idea for a thread. mysmokingshop won’t ship to my part of the world either. A few others only charge in pounds and when I figure in the conversion fee, well just does not work. Have had a few contacts into toque. Does anyone here if they take dollars at checkout?
This German store has a wide selection snuff-and-more.de and Davy’s sells Mullins&Westley and Smith’s, or whatever they are called nowadays, snuffs: davy.co.uk/cs/cps/cigars-pipes-and-snuff/buy-snuff-online.html. Never ordered from them though, it would be nice to hear customer comments.
http://www.mcchrystals.co.uk- not got any shipping info though. @asieg33 what is your part of the world they wont ship to? good to note it down.
Excellent contributions! @AllanH that German store has Abraxas ^.^ I’m trying to add some further organization.
http://www.snuifmolenswebshop.nl/Webwinkel-Category-506013/Snuff-tobacco.html You can buy Molens here and it’s cheaper than mrsnuff.
@asieg33 Toque does take US dollars, and they take off the Value Added Tax applied to EU members. They’re pretty good about shipping stuff out quickly too.
@Vito445 Yes, they have Abraxas too! Selection is even better than I remembered, American snuffs too among many interesting things like chewing tobaccos. Snuff-and-more.de ships only to EU and Switzerland so if our American friends want something from there, they have to trade privately with EU-based person.
I didn’t know that snuff.me.co.uk shipped to the States. Way better prices on SG bulk, thank you very much!
@linguist I guess I will put the ebay link up, but isn’t ebay something that is inconsistent because there are multiple vendors with a constantly changing stock? I guess i’ll just note it in. This has really become quite a large directory of snuff shops, I am impressed! Thanks for all the input and keep 'em coming!
you are right. I think the only german bay allows to sell snuff and i don’t know if they send abroad. Anyway snuff can be searched on that site.
I now live in Israel after having lived in about 20 cities across 12 time zones. Living in the Negev desert there are dust storms which is a aroma less snuff. On good days a rocket from Gaza will fill the air with particulate matter and you need neither spoon nor straw.
Gentlefolk of snuffhouse. I enclose a copy of a letter I wrote to MySmokingshop before discovering snuffstore. I ask you could you have resisted this request. And he is no longer stocking Dholokia which makes it a losing proposition for me. For shame, for shame forsaking the former empire. What would good Queen Victoria say? Despite assorted quibbles others have had with Snuffstore they are most kind to me. Dear Simon, I have emailed you at your site. Please excuse this redundancy; I write it in the hopes that abject supplication may suffice where the order form did not. When checking out I could not as you do not have Israel on your country list. Would you turn your back on a one time mandate? As an English Gentleman would you honor this request? Long an Anglophile with a collection of old and prime Dunhill’s and Charatans, with Dunhill lighters specially modified for pipe smoking and as a long time (since 1967) patron of Blackwell’s Books in Oxford (where, at one time I lectured) I find dealing with the English to be a great pleasure. Though I am but a colonial from your rebellious colony; New York. I hope after over 200 years there are no hard feelings concerning the incident with tea in Boston Harbor. I assure you that neither I nor my forebears have ever harbored any ill feelings though I remain confused about how Cornwallis wound up cornered (I expect no explanation from your smoke shop which I know bears no responsibility for good King Charles III, but it appears Charles bore little responsibility for his own actions). I assure you there is no problem with snuff being shipped to Israel aside from my standing in line with rude Israelis and very rude Russians. In fact the post office here may be likened to Dante’s 5th circle of hell. Royal Post is very efficient in their deliveries to this lonely outpost of what was once part of the Empire (allow me to twist history a bit). I toast the Queen unless, of course, you’re of Irish Catholic heritage in which case I will raise a glass of Guinness. My best friend’s, recently deceased, family arrived in England 1066 along with William. I will don a ruffled collar as in my friend’s family portraits when using your snuff (if a ruffled collar can be had here). I throw myself on your mercy (and I must mention lend lease destroyers and my father’s service in Normandy as possible incentives). And many thanks for your personal response. Bear in mind Margaret Thatcher’s special relationship with Ronald Reagan and, more recently, Tony Blair’s with George Bush. I assure you, unlike the former, I will not involve you in any wars. If you cannot reply to this humble request I assure you Winston Churchill will weep, Franklin Roosevelt shall sulk, Stalin will be most gleeful and DeGaulle will be justified in his blackballing of you from the Common Market, though considering the current state of the market DeGaulle’s action may be in your best interest. Given the size of DeGaulle’s nodr he would have been a customer cultivate. Respectfully, humbly and most hopefully, Yours in the cross pond friendship, Alan
Well I still dont really understand that post ^ and why it was placed here, but nevertheless I suggest to everyone to keep this page. You can bookmark it at the top right of the page there is a little star you can click on. With this, I think that if you have tried, or do try, any of the shops listed, let us know how it went. I hope i’m not the only one looking for a good store to make some regular orders to. Also, keep your eyes open for new stores and any stores not listed, It’s great to see all our options listed out like this, so thanks to all of you for contributions.

Two places that have not been mentioned yet are: McGaheys (Devon, UK) http://www.mcgahey.co.uk/ Wesley’s of South Africa http://www.wesleys.co.za/
Bernards http://www.schmalzlerfranzl.de/module.php5?fid=2&mod=agecheck&orgpage&setlang=en Many of my old haunts (such as Greens of Leeds) appear to have gone offline.
Green’s is still online - smoke-king.co.uk/

Why is it that some of the manufacturers’ own sites sell only a very limited range of their own snuffs?? Seems a bit odd really.
@snuffski it’s a strange thing. Wilsons will sell all of theirs direct, whilst Gawith’s (SG) prefer you to go to a tobacconist. McChrystal’s only seem to sell a limited selection on their site (not visited in a while) whilst GH have a very primitive site altogether. Will have to check out Toque after next payday…
Odd indeed, though I couldn’t even see all of Wilsons’ advertised on their site, but is it the case that if you ask for something they will sell it to you?
@snuffski that’s right. Just email or phone.
Or use their Contact Us form on their website. They get back to you very quickly.
For those living in the USA, I find snusory, which has been mentioned here, is great for German products. They sell on eBay, take paypal, do combined shipping, and have fast ship times w/ tracking numbers. I like to use them because I don’t have keep maxing out my Visa card.
@mrmanos where is the tracking number for www.snusory.com? I placed an order that shipped last thursday but i’m not sure how to track it. may be a dumb question and i will look into it further on the site.
FEI (For Everyone’s Info) I contacted www.snusory.com today about a tracking number and they replied with the number very fast but mentioned that they can no longer accept paypal due to paypal’s tobacco restrictions. Just thought everyone may want to know this.
I am curious about that… I just went over to ebay and looked them up. If you search ‘snus can’, the snusory webstore appears. It looks as if its all running smoothly. I haven’t ordered from them in about a month and a half. I hope they are wrong about the paypal because its so easy to order from them using it. I stumbled upon the store by accident, and ended up buying about $60 worth of various German snuffs. But, to get back to your concern, no, he does not provide tracking number unless you ask him for it.
Does anyone know if Indian snuffs can be purchased anywhere other than Mr Snuff? I have looked for Indian online grocery stores, but haven’t found anything. There are so many different brands there I am surprised that the only readily available brands are Dh, 6P, 41P, …am looking to buy some Sun snuffs, but can’t find them…
This gentleman could probably help you out. @indiansnuff
@vito445 we have already had a nice chat. Not officially open yet but when I am everyone here shall be the first to know
So is this indian snuff store open yet?
Cegar and snuff London. Some great exclusive snuffs including cafe royale and jocks choice. A very helpfull traditional small tobacconists. They will post around the world but you need to call to place an order currently. So not technically an online shop but worth a mention. The link is below. Snuff menu is near the centre of the page http://www.davy.co.uk/segar-and-snuff-parlour.php
https://www.thebackyshop.co.uk/ Website of Black Swan Specialist Tobacconist, they have a range of pipes, tobacco and snuffs. Ship to UK, Europe and Rest of the World (excluding USA) I think.
@koba22 the first place i got snuff to try! i cant think why i missed adding them here. great people working for the website and scarborough shop, even if the whitby staff are a bit miserable
Snuffstore.de has a decent selection, had an order come in a few days ago and they threw in some free tissues and a can of Oliver Twist snus .
Has anyone ordered WOS or Toque from The Northerner.com? I have sent emails to them to find out what size tins they are selling but still receive no response.
i got a 10g tin of toque and some paul gotard from them with a snus order once. bone dry.
Does snuffstore.de ship to the US?
I don’t know, I’d try to contact them. I don’t really come on this website anymore, so if someone wants to make a new thread or comment on here in which they will keep and up to date list on that would be good for everyone. Later.
-Vito
Snuffstore.co.uk is my go too, but mr snuff is probably best in terms of bulk
I have found Mr. Snuff to be the best spot when it comes to diversity.
I’ve used www.snuffstore.co.uk for some time now, when we lived in England and also now that we live in New Zealand. They are fairly cheap to buy from, have a good selection to choose from, their international postage is what it is (I find it quite reasonable and still cheaper than buying it over here in NZ) and their customer service is superb. Can’t fault them. Paypal converts from GB Pounds on their website to NZ Dollars for my bank account and that suits me just fine.
@Roderick Would you consider packaging the Toque USA offerings in 25g tins?

Aireys of Kendal are a tobacconists in the same town as the Gawith Hoggarth and Samuel Gawith snuff mills.
I bought a fair bit of snuff in bulk via the internet with him when the recent panic buying set in.
He places your order with the factory, and then strolls around to collect it. Can’t get any fresher than that.
Very fast delivery as well.
Just had a look at his website and it only has the option to telephone or email him at the moment.
I do not know if this is temporary, and he is revamping his site, or dropping the internet ordering side of the business.
Bad news is, he did not ship tobacco products to the USA at the time.
I visited Kendal a few years ago, and called in to Aireys. It’s just like a newsagents inside, not the specialist tobacconists that I expected. Since production lines were heavily culled, I don’t know how much focus will be on the tobacco side. I too went a bit crazy with the EU TPD panic, and bought a lot of bargains from various stores, including mysmokingshop.com and black swan. I’ve hardly bought any recently due to the size of my stash, but if I was starting over, I would use Toque, Sharrow Mills, My Smoking Shop, and Black Swan as my main shops.
Less all the time. Some no longer ship for one reason or another, Plus credit card companies have a stick up their ass about tobacco purchases. It’s the tobacco cartel strong hold in relation with crony capitalism for tax dollars . They want to kill us with their cancer sticks. The WHO is also to blame forcing false claims on snuff tobacco and other harm reduction products.
I don’t subscribe to TV but I did watch one once; they had commercial advertising drugs and asked your Dr. if it’s right for you, one of the side effect was death. Right after that was a lawyer group soliciting users of a drug for law suits.
Where is WHO? Who’s on first? the answer is Rockefeller Medicine, Foundation and group. This is who is pulling the strings, The grand puppet masters! The powers that shouldn’t be. And nothing anyone can do about it.
Any way to get Poschel or Sam Gawith directly from the mill ?
www.tabakandmore.de is a great shoppe with good selection …they sell on ebay too and have good prices
I just got my case of packards club from them, they have MacCraig, and most of Poeschls line and kennsingtons
Do not waste your time emailing Sam Gawith or Gawith Hogarth for any information.
I tried about a year ago and had no replies.
Somebody else on Snuffhouse has also commented on these firms ignoring their potential customers emails.
They may as well put a banner headline on their web site saying,
“We Want Your Money, But Do not Bother Us.”
Perhaps a letter with a reply paid envelope might get a response from the office staff there.
I think they may have a note on their website listing retailers of their products.
I agree with ArtChoo, they have a “just shut up and buy it” approach. They just want to make it and ship it out to retailers, with absolute minimal “distraction” from actual users. The only response I have ever had from them, was when I asked them for details of local retailers. They wrote back with one, even though I discovered later that there were more. Every other question or comment I have submitted, went unanswered. The only customer contact they want, is bulk orders from retailers. Anything else is a distraction that they don’t need.
I use the Wilsons of Sharrow online shop. I like ordering from the manufacturer, always seems to come fresh.
