Can anyone please tell me how long does it take to receive a package from Canada to the USA? More specifically from Kelowna, BC, Canada to Warren, PA, USA!
I sent a pound of pipe baccy to a fellow snuffhouse member in the US and he received it in about a week and a half
Im won a pipe on e-bay and it took a week and a couple days to get to me.
Common sense dictates sheer distance will be the deciding factor, ie; sending a package from British Columbia to Washington state will take far less time than one going from Northwest Territories to Florida.
More specifically from Kelowna, BC, Canada to Warren, PA, USA!
I think I can safely assume it doesn’t take 34 days! Because I have been waiting since October 13th for a tin of Sun-Kohinoor snuff with 17g remaining to arrive and needless to say I haven’t received anything as of yet. And the trader told me on Nov.4th that he sent me the rest of a tin of sun kohinoor to make up for the first tin which I still haven’t received and needless to say I haven’t received anything from the trader as of yet and I am very disappointed!
From BC to the Eastern US won’t take 34 days for regular post. My typical experience (generally the reverse direction) is around 2-3 weeks. Much of the time is often due to customs. I will say that from the BC interior to Edmonton Alberta (that’s north of Montana) typically takes a week with Canada Post for a first class letter. It takes me 11 hours to drive it. Anything from outside the major cities in Canada seems extra slow (and despite it’s size, Kelowna isn’t treated as a “major city”). Toronto to Edmonton takes about 4 days (major city to major city). I would imagine only a few scenarios: 1. it wasn’t shipped 2. it wasn’t shipped on the date stated 3. it was lost (happens) 4. customs is involved. I have had items refused by customs and returned to the vendor. That sometimes ended up taking well over a month before the vendor got it back. My shipment from Toque (Britain) to small town BC here took 25 days - 8 of those were due to Canada Customs. I don’t know how persnickety US Customs is (but they are very rude when I cross the border in person, so who knows about packages…). Just some perspective - I cannot offer you any help - sorry. Are you still in contact with the shipper? Ask them to provide you the details on the receipt that Canada post should have given him when shipping. Without these details you won’t be able to file a claim with Canada Post/US Post for missing item. If the shipper doesn’t have the receipt, you’re out of luck. There is no way that the item is still in transit, it is either lost, sitting in customs or was never shipped. Canada Post does searches for un-arrived items after 30 days so you can file a claim with them if the shipper provides you the right info. My contact with Brandasaur (Brandon C. of Kelowna, BC, Canada) has been problematic and very few and far between. Personally I think he didn’t ship the snuff to me like he was supposed to. I am not sure on how I should warn my fellow snuffers about Brandasaur So I will take the advice of my peers here and I’ll just post his personal information and warn my fellow snuffer to beware of trading with him.: Brandon C. If I may also chip in here; A package, from Snuffster in London, took 54 days to reach me without customs being involved! Normally takes about 2 weeks.
Packages do take time, but as outback mentioned it seems like the trader is avoiding contact with him

However, Brandasaur is logged as entering the site recently so he would have seen whispers etc. Im afraid you’ve been scammed.
You guys need to settle this dispute.
