There is a tv show which had a brief 10 min segment on how snuff was made, I think it was gawarth hogsbreath or something like that, never ever could get that name right. But it is an older brit mfg unit, has only a few employees from the looks of it. and showed the guy making snuff from scratch, throw tobacco on floor, sprinkle with 'liquor of water, salt, potash, some other stuff. blasted dvr dropped program so I can refer to it any longer. one employee made a older gal a ‘gin and tonic’ snuff…good show. I cannot imagine why potash and sometimes amonia are in the process…seems like that would not be a natural thing to snuff up your nose.??? why???
hey folks, if you have rose bushes still in your yard, take the time now to get a few of the thinner branches cut off to make ‘SNUFF SPOONS’ cut at an angle, hollow out the tube of branch segment, and it works pretty good. Rustic mind you, but hey, free!
YOUTUBE has a nice ten min film from POSCHL TOBACCO CO…on how they make snuff, it is really nice, check it out if you wonder how they do it too.
not sure the last try did it, but here is the link to video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clA7fjn9ryw
looks like an advert for poschl haha…
Yes, the Pöschl one is in the library along with many other videos and documents, etc in this thread: http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/5202/snuff-archive-literature-articles-videos-and-other-multimedia#latest The “How Its Made” episode featured Samuel Gawith and we have a thread on it (but I can’t put my finger on it at the moment), however, we have no copy or link to that video.
