Here is my solution; The Snuff holster it secures to my belt with the loop on the back. Some come with belt clips but they irritate me. Actually they are for carrying zippo type lighters, but the new Mr Snuff or snuffhouse.org plastic boxes fit perfectly. And there you are with your snuff box on your belt ready to draw. You can find them in colors and material to fit your style.
You must be the Snuff Police with all that on your belt! I am very new to snuff and only use it at home, at night. But I am in the market for a bullet type device because they look simple and non-messy. Do you have a recommendation for one of those? Also, do most people carry a handkerchief or just use your sleeve? lol.
Wow, very cool idea! I find I carry my Mr. Snuff boxes more than anything, so I think I’m gonna have to look into these! @spydercanopus, I carry a hanky with me just in case, but I usually have paper tissue or TP wherever I am and I find these are easier to use because you can just toss them when you’re done with your business. Your nose may get a little raw at first, but after a while you grow accustomed to it and it won’t be a bother. Your sleeve isn’t a very prudent idea unless you want stains all over your shirts, and you will have to give a good blow eventually.
@spydercanopus https://mrsnuff.com/store/posh-ultimate-brass-bullet-p-10.html?osCsid=b59d6cd7573ee1d57c9f0685391f25ae posh bullets are the only one I found that are no hassle.SNUFF POLICE your the one who wants to stick bullets up your nose LOL As for a handkerchief, I should but I just shoot snot rockets for distance and accuracy.
I carry mine in my front pocket. If I have two snuff boxes they are in separate pockets. The only thing I ever carry attached to my belt is a pistol.
Basement Shaman- dark brown 22 cal. pellets? All I’ll say is I look for pockets when I buy t-shirts and overshirts and having at least one one pocket among my shirts is imperative-usually I’m working with two or three pockets.
A couple snuff boxes and a few 10g tins with the occasional smash box. I favor shirts with breast pockets that button and cargo shorts, but jeans hold everything just fine. Sometimes if im out a while ill take my man purse as well. Though for easy access and security I can see how holsters would be handy.
@TomStrasbourg I had thought of this Idea, When Mr.Snuff was designing the small boxes since I carry my Zippo in one. I learned the hard way carrying fresh filled Zippo in pocket and chemical burns on my leg ;no fun. Since then I holster the Zippo and it is convenient. So why not snuff boxes. With larger boxes like the Rococo box they fit in flip up cell phone holsters safe and secure.
@basement_shaman yet another accesory to collect for my tobacco habits. Just what I need. I have to admit I’m trying to make my snuff use look more fashionable by getting boxes and the like, especially since I’m going off to college and want to convert people to snuff or at least look the part of a sophisticated tobacco user.
@TomStrasbourg You are already a trend setter! don’t worry what other people think of you or your snuff use. Just concentrate on the big picture and everything else will fall in line. In the next decade Snuff in the States will be as normal as Pepsi and Coca’Cola. And your classmates will acknowledge you as a renaissance man . Its just in the Uk had a 300 year head start with snuff use. But it all started in North America by the Native Indians.
I seem to carry a large amount of smash boxes and some small toque tins. I don’t wear belts, so I doubt that the holster approach would work for me.
When I Leave my house I have an assortment of snuff in 5different bullets but use the tins when I’m home
I carry at least 1 wooden snuffbox in my pocket (usually 3.) These days I wear a lot of cargo pants. In addition to my snuffboxes, I also need to carry my insulin pens (2,) glucose meter, and keys.
I reuse WOS 10gm containers and put them in my pocket. Seem to be the best balance of sturdy and convenient. Ken
@devillock76 I do that a lot too, but I usually reserve old tins for mixes.
3 heartwood snuffboxes.
1 smashbox with Posh bulett in back pocket and another smashbox at backpack just in case. Bullet is for the times when pinch is not acceptable.
I carry the tap boxes I buy, as I am trying numerous different snuffs to find my favorites and an all-day sniff. I just bought a Posh bullet. It’s unlike other bullets I have used in the past. It didn’t come with instructions…can anyone tell me how to use the damn thing? No side arrow/valve; it looks like the twist base decides the dose. BTW, I am blind, so any visual markings on the bullet itself are useless, which may explain why I’m having trouble figuring out how to use the thing. Thanks for all advice.
@Uncle_Squinty I have the Poshle bullet as well. You just remove the little bolt at the bottom and fill with snuff. Here you have to be just a bit careful as its easy to inadvertantly fill the female portion the bolt goes into. Once filled replace the nut and simply twist the base to one side sniff, then turn to the other side and sniff. It premeasures your dose which may or may not be sufficient for your needs. NOTE: it is a different experience if the snuff is moist vs dry. If it is a fairly moist variety it may not work at all as it can pack in too tightly. Good luck! As far as my experience with bullets go this one is the best overall.
Thanks Stogie. I read somewhere that twisting the bottom of the Posh bullet delivers a larger dose than turning it the opposite way. I figured out the set screw deal, and you’re right…gotta be careful not to put the snuff into the screw hole. While we’re on the subject of bullets, can you or anyone tell me the difference between a “snuff bullet” and a “snuff rocket?” TIA.
