Has anyone ever tried any of this snuff? http://www.hookahsnuff.com/
No but I had a look at your link and there FAQ is defiantly a copy and paste from the sharrow mills website. A bit naughty.
ah really… maybe they’re a bit dodgy then, sorry.
@Ansel What are you sorry for. They are an Indian company by the looks of things(no offence to vikas he runs a great company) and probably thought it easier to steal someone else’s info than to get someone to translate theirs. I have sent them an email asking where I can buy some in the UK. You never know I might get a free sample. I will keep you update.
Everything about Sun Snuff recalls Sir Walter Scott’s famous line - “Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practise to deceive!” The search facility doesn’t seem to work (or archived posts are not available), but I remember posts by Sun Snuff on this forum claiming all sorts of mystical benefits from their products - especially curative properties. Spurious historical claims were also made. Despite being a modern company Sun Snuff was favoured, we were told, by the employees and directors of the East India Company - an impossibility as the company was nationalised in 1858 and dissolved in 1874. “In the old days this was done using the power of the water wheel at Sharrow Mills, in oak mortars by iron pestles. Today, modern machinery is used to ensure consistent high quality standards are met.” This text is from the Sun Snuff FAQ page. That Wilson’s FAQ has been plagiarised to the extent that reference to Sharrow Mills hasn’t even been expunged is careless and lazy in the extreme - as well as downright dishonest.
Mr Snuff sells Sun Snuff, click the link to the right and look under Indian snuff
The black snuff look interesting Specifications Pure and natural Contains high nicotine content Earthy flavor Favorable to all high nicotine lovers Recommended to seasoned tobacco lovers Available in trendy and attractive packaging This link looks as it is for retailers? looked at Mr. snuff they sell sun snuff but not in this type packaging.
Looks like more non-traditional snuffs coming out of India.
@PhilipS, @mustangi et al, No this is not Sun Snuffs. This is Sun Snuff. Sun Snuffs made it very clear that their name was not “Sun” nor “Sun Snuff” but “Sun Snuffs.” Note the pluralization. Their snuffs are simply very traditional Indian snuff blends, despite any unsubstantiated claims they made. This Sun snuff seems to be a mix of trendy flavors and some more plain traditional ones, like the Black and White. This link came up about a year or so ago, and at the time our best speculation was that this was a Dholakia subsidiary in Switzerland. The website has changed a bit so now I’m more inclined to think its simply a private label contract brand, probably made by Dholakia. BTW cutting and pasting from Sharrow or other respected sites happens quite a lot. I’ve seen several Indian snuff websites do this, as well as various other fly by night websites.
This site has been developed and maintained by exporters India, same from where i got my latest website www.6photosnuff.com developed. So i’m inclined to think that there is an Indian connection to it.Operating out of Switzerland? It is a bit of mystery.
