Alot of snuffers do it at one time or another, you run low on something, or just have a dried up little bit left on your box, or are just plain curious, so you mix this snuff and that snuff and sniff what comes out at the end. Some has probably been suprisingly delish…some toxic and repulsive. Anyone like to share their happy accidents and unintentional catastrophes? I’ll go first. Best discovery…Gawith Apricot and Dholakia White, I love it!!! Worst discovery…Ozona President and Royal George, someone on another forum swore by it so I tried it, I found it nearly like nasal poisoning if such a thing were possible. So o.k., any other takers?
I have what I call Toast and Mmm taken from the idea of Toast and Marmalade. So far it’s like all the good of the Toque but made to where all the taste POPS. Now, mind you, I have been very lucky figure both the Wilsons and McChrystals lemons, some Rose, some Levi Garrett with the Toque base and to top it of Lotzbeck Premium… BEEN VERY LUCKY averting a disaster. Toast and Mmm my every day Toast now. The bad one was HDT and Packards smelled like a barn; tried to revive this with Champagne and called it strip club.
McC O&G and Toque Rose are the only two I’ve mixed that I REALLY enjoy. I’ve come to realize, for the most part, the folks that put these scents together are real professionals. This doesn’t stop me from trying, but I have great respect for them when I see what it takes to get from seed to snuff and everything that can go wrong between. Good topic, Nose K
A ‘strip club’ ? I’ll remember your recipe squarefiend ! The closest to my dream maybe… a snuff that tastes like a girl! Worth further experiments. The closest to my dream snuff is F&T Princes. It have the fragrance of a nice lady, soft and moist like the skin of a young woman. And gives me an increased heart beat. Maybe this is the nic hit? I’ve never been able to sense it, but doing huge piles of this snuff… maybe this is! Well but I’d like a village girl! Still a nice lady, but a kicker, that will make my heart explode! So as soon as I receive my TAXI Red, I’ll try a 50-50 mix of F&T Princes and TAXI Red. I think I’ll find my nice, earthy, kicker lady that way. P.S. Sorry if there is much nonsense. I’m doing some drinks in front of computer and leaving my fantasies out…
Toque Chocolate and Espresso 1 to 1 is pretty good. I just wish the flavour were stronger. Maybe it would be better if I used Dholakia Swiss Chocolate and WOS Coffee Cream.
3 parts Dholakia Swiss Chocolate, 1 part St Clements makes a very nice chocolate orange.
I have one that was amzing added one more thing now its intolerable
My favourite is my Camphor Bomb made with WoS Camphor and Mild and SG’s Zip mixed 50/50. Easy to take and full of camphory goodness. After 4 years of snuffing I’ve come to the conclusion that if there is camphor in my snuff I’m a happy chappy. Stefan
I’ve mentioned this on another thread, but I’ve got a peanut butter jar full to the brim of leftovers. I don’t even remember why I started it, but today - having run out of my usual - I tried some of this mix that has been growing for the last year. It is probably one of the nicest snuffs Ive ever tried! Its made up mostly of samples from Toque and a few others I guess, but I’ve ended up with a beautiful, sweet, spicy snuff that I could never repeat.
@Snuffster “but I’ve ended up with a beautiful, sweet, spicy snuff that I could never repeat” So what will you do, make it last for years, just have a little once in a while? Or Hit it hard, when it’s gone, it’s gone?
Good question mate - I can see me using it for a week until I get round to a mail order and then have it just on occasion, but it is certainly good enough to be an everyday snuff. Pure luck, absolutely no skill, involved at all!!
@snuffster…I am actually doing the exact same thing. I have a small glass jar that when I only have a small pile in my snuffbox, or just a little bit left in a tin, bag, or dispenser; into the jar it goes. I’ve mandated that I will not partake of any until the jar has become full. It will be interesting to see what results from it!
Well good luck with it Matthew. As I say, mine was just a fluke. I just can’t believe how nice it is. I don’t really recall the snuffs but like you it was nothing more than odds and ends. Just make sure your jar is airtight and hope for the best! I am pleased I left mine about a year: maybe it just did some snuff magic maturation.
Don’t infuse you snuff with homemade handpressed cedar oil unless you want the smell of cedar in your nose for 2 days.
@Troutstroker Is that the voice of experience? (-; Story to go with it?
O&G and Toque Christmas Pudding blend. Really very good, they work well together.
