Wow at that day in age people must had thought it was pretty much a cure all.

I love that noises in the head is listed as a condition to be cured by snuff. The noises might disappear but it doesn’t seem to affect that little voice that says “more, more”

I remember as a young kid in the glove box of our vehicles was always a small cloth bag of ground tobacco that the folks would wipe it on the inside of the Windows. Supposedly kept them from fogging up.
