HISTORY NO.32. SNUFF FORTNIGHT.

A

A little leaflet I found tucked inside a second hand book that I bought a few years ago.

Sadly the organisation no longer exists, but there is no reason that you can’t promote, and carry on the tradition yourselves.

For some reason unknown to me the image keeps flipping to the horizontal when I copy it to here.

The second image is a close up of the corner.

p.s.   If any of the moderators have the facility, could you try orienting the first image correctly.   Cheers.

The first of June is here.   I still cannot get a rotated picture to stay rotated when I post it.

Enjoy National Snuff Fortnight everyone.

Happy National Snuff Fortnight to all the Brits here!

I’ve been digging around in the “snuff holidays” a bit recently and I was surprised by the large number of championships in Great Britain, which ingloriously take their idea from the Germans. Shame. However, I thought it would be nice to go back and check out a bit more about “Snuff Fortnight”. An interesting fact is, for now, that in 1987 it had the prefix “National” and a year later it was already “European”. Well, it doesn’t bother me, because since we learned about the existence of this curiosity, during those two weeks I only take English snuff.
