Ok, MY B-Day is right around the corner and wanted to know what you all thought of my selections. F&T Princes F&T High Dry Toast ( Will be my first toast, been practicing with US Scotches ) Toque Whiskey & Honey and a Snuff Box or 2 My only question is which do you guys prefer Wilsons BEST SP or TOM BUCK Loving my Toque Original just wanting to try some new SPs. Thanks Guys

If you can find it I’d recommend SP Silver. Are you dead set on F&T Princes? I prefer Princes Special, it is a bit more complex. Otherwise you have a great order picked out.

No, Im just worried about getting a Princes thats too floral. Is the Princes Special less floral or just a lil better blend in ur opinion

I wouldn’t say it’s less floral, but it’s not more floral either. The Princes Special is a bit spicier than the Princes. You can just tell there is more to it.

What about Best SP or Tom Buck… Differences? Preferences?

I like Tom Buck better than Best SP. Its stronger in the bergamot, but Best is light and easy to take. However, I’d recommend Grand Cairo or Gold Label for some really awesome SP action. I have not had the Silver as Leman recommends. I have had SP 100 which is kind of half way between Gold Label and Best.

I think I’d recommend Wilson’s Princes if you don’t want to be too floral, and Best SP. I would suggest a 1/2 lb tub of each. My birthday is also coming up soon and my wife is already intending to get me a large 1 lb tub of Wilson’s Princes. I have enough Best SP and Tom Buck on hand for making my Bordeaux

Tom Buck has more flavouring than the SP, but is not, as some think, a higher nicotine snuff. I think of TB as an enhanced SP, the flour is the same however. Both are great in their own way and I usually have both to hand. If you want a sensational snuff box, log on to Walsh brothers website - and look under reproduction silver on their pill box section. They make a silver snuff box which is superb; compact, elegant and hand crafted. I got one a couple of years ago and it has been my favourite ever since. You can buy the wood ones anytime but if you are being treated by your wife, smile sweetly and steer her towards the computer.

Thats why I love this forum and all the people on here. Thank you for all the help, im definately considering that pewter box as I have several celtic tattoos and such.
