I was looking for some advice concerning shipping some snuff to a friend in Canada. I have 8 of the 1.15 oz containers I want to ship from the US to Canada. I think I will go with the priority mail $ 12. 95 deal but do I need Customs forms and if anyone out there has any other tips, they would be greatly appreciated!!!

I’m on the Canadian side of the border and just completed a snus trade with a friend in the U.S. His postage was $12.95 and both packages reached me in just a little over a week. There is a customs sticker that they have you fill out - I assume at the post office - stating the contents and value of the contents. It’s up to you whether or not to be “creative” when listing the contents and value. Smaller packages usually slip through customs here with better success than larger packages, so maybe you could split into 2 packages of 4 and post a week or so apart. Hope this helps.
As a Canadian, who orders tobacco internationally, I can tell you any package over 200 grams, seems to get stopped…and the duty is brutal. Ship smaller packages and spread them out if you want your friend to keep duty costs to a minimum. Shipped all at once you are about 60 grams over. I once paid $150 duty on 300 grams of snus. Good luck.
Also remember to tick the “gift” box not “merchandise” on the customs form.
Thank you guys so much!!! YOU have been agreat help. Are there any other trick questions or tips!!! I’m scared the ATF’ll kick my doors in over SNUFF!!!

@jpb123 I can’t even find nasal snuff here in Canada, and dip is nearly impossible to find and when you do find it it’s close to $14.00 a can. It’s very unreal.
