…to Schmalzers! My first four months of snuff taking, I vowed to never try a Schmalzer. The descriptions just sounded so far from what I would like. I hate fruity scented everything. When I think fruit scented, I think artificial, apple/banana/orange… Well, fast forward and I tried Regensberger. Then I expanded my rotation to Doppelt-Fermetiert and Aecht Altbayerischer. I also have a Poschl that I can’t recall the name. Now, I can’t stop with them. I find myself reaching for them everyday and sometimes all day. The fruitiness is deep, dark and there is always some chocolate/cake undertone. The only problem is, to me, they all taste the same. I detect slight differences, but not enough to justify stocking up on different ones, at least for me. Maybe I need to explore more.
@fbones24…from South Africans to Schmalzers… Lol… What’s next brother bones ? I’m on a White Elephant KIck… Omg… That snuff. Is blazzzzzzzinngggg!!!
Call SA ( not South Africa …Snuffers anonymous ) we are all addicted
@aanycaards I know. These snuffs are quite dangerous.
Try poschl sudfrucht and poschl doppelaroma. Those have strong aromas and are always in my rotation.
Absolutley try more. There are some big differences. Get the Sterneckers. They are miles away from Pöschl and all three very natural smelling. Yet even among the four Pöschl ones there is a range of differences.
I do have echt fresko so yes, i can attest that it is very different.

Agreed, Sudfrucht is excellent and cheap for a 100G bag.
I’ve tried about every style of snuff besides a schmalzer. Is there one there one or two the would be good introductions to this group? Filing my cart on mrsnuff now and not sure which ones to try.
Schmalzler are best fresh. If you can vacuum seal in smaller units ,it pay to buy the bulk. Refrigeration helps in water tight containers. Tobacco is my master ^:)^
For those addicted to snuff and wish to quit you can use the YYsmileyface snuff available from MrSnuff under American Energy snuffs. I didn’t think so… but still there is help.

@basement_shamen its interesting that you say that, as i noticed recently that some Sudfrucht that i have stored properly in a mason jar has gone lumpy and fairly dry. Is this due to the high oil content? Maybe they need to be stored in a humidor like cigars. I now have a bit under 300grams that i have to madly snuff up before it is completely ruined. I may try the fridge as you suggest.
Leave it to me to buck a trend. I have never enjoyed a schmalzier. My first one was Sudfrucht and it started a very unpleasant, expensive relationship. I’ve tried tons of them and just can’t get myself to like them. I’ve even committed the ultimate sin with them…I’ve thrown them out. I guess I’ve never really been happy with any oil-content snuff. Or any really moist snuff. I guess Schmalziers never stood a chance.
Be boring if we all liked the same things @Dogwalla
@SnuffySnuff True. I would be ashamed of the world of everybody loved Cheese & Bacon.
Schmalzler Rock! MMM. I like them all!
It odd I’ve never been attracted to Schmalzlers thus far, I did find myself looking through Bernard’s selection at MrSnuff the other day, I think that the packaging of these snuffs is very charming and quaint. I’m sure that some of these will end up on one of my orders at some point, but I seem to be attracted to tobacco based scents, as opposed to booze and cake :))
Just got the Schmalzler bundle from Mr.Snuff in the mail! Highly recommended!
