A little civet, a little cat piss, a little rose…Princes Special mixes all of these without the brutality of Princes. If Princes is like being launched from an aircraft carrier on a Hawker Harrier, Princes Special is a ride on a Sea King. Still martial, it has a high nicotine and moisture content; however, it will not cause cardiac arrest. If you like Princes but find it too intense for daily use, Princes Special is the perfect alternative.
I like both Princes equally. Switching between the two is what I usually do. The only thing I dislike about both is the rather nasty throat drip, but I’m used to it and it doesn’t bother me much. I like to follow it with a dry toast or American dry sweet a la Garrett.
It is sort of cool how our noses are all different. Princes Special is overwhelming to me. I think it is the additional floral hints. Princes is my daily snuff, all day, every day. Both are very very good. But, I find Special cloying. I guess, I second your motion that everyone give these a try. If you find one doesn’t make the cut for you…try the other!

I can’t tell what or where I’m posting with this new arrangement. I joined discorse as recommended for iPhone. So now that I’m here, I see it’s all rather complicated. My punishment for being an old snuffster I guess. Fortunately I don’t rely on others opinions regarding what snuffs I use, mostly. So is this thread about F&T Princes? That’s what I’m reading at the top of my screen.
I was attempting to post in What’s in Your Nose, but I’ve reached the end of my patience.
