Just arrived. WOW More will follow, just enjoying the rush now.
One of my faves. So easy to take, strong wallop and good nic.
Yes! I kinda flows through your nose. Very good . Nic is good indeed, nice stuff!
LOVE HEDGES !!!I am enjoying it now
Been my first pinch in the morning for a year and a half now!
I think Hedges is the best menthol mixer, a little bit goes a long way
I say compared with for instance toque Menthol is’t flavor is richer and more bodied. Don’t ge me wrong, toque’s Menthol is really nice, maybe even stronger in the beginning. L260’s flavor is mellower in the beginning, but get stronger later, and is more cooler in the nose. Definitly more drip, great nose cleaner, Love it.
You Just can’t compare Hedges L260 with Toque Menthol. They both have a shelf in the in, the market. I’m not a great menthol snuff user, but I do love to fill my nose with Hedges, first thing in the morning. Nose Drip, cleans the 'awd snout owt.
I love menthol, though I find the UK menthols to be sharp, and that has it’s place, but I like more the less sharp menthol I find in the Indian made snuffs.
This one is a bit overpowering for me, but I do like it at times. A good wake up in the morning for sure.
I buy one tin of this a year and use it sparingly. I really appreciate it when I have a cold or am otherwise congested. I do pretty much use it medicinally.
Hedges was originally formulated by a doctor for a friend of his who had sinusitis, L260 was the designation he gave it in his prescription book and he probably did mean it to be used in the way Khalid does. The problem is that its too good to wait until you have a headcold. The king of menthols in my book.
@snuffhead. Yes you are right about that, maybe a wrong comparisement… I love them both.
Hedges is an outstanding menthol snuff, it and O&G have been my go-to menthols for a couple of years now.
@Tom502: I suspect the reason you prefer the Indian menthols may be because they are actually made from natural menthol (ie distilled out of mint) as opposed to (I would wager) all other snuffs which is made from synthesized menthol. As a point of interest the vast bulk of synthesized menthol is made by one factory in Japan. I guess they cornered the patent or maybe just the market early on? I am not even sure natural menthol is readily available outside of countries where labor is very cheap. Dave
Hedges is among my collection as well. Great snuff. I used it to kick a head cold not long ago. Really does cause my nose to drip though . But it’s worth it
@mr.snuff: I could be mistaken, but I believe I read somewhere that some (but not all) of Wilson’s of Sharrow’s menthol snuffs are made with natural menthol as well. But please correct me if you know differently.
“I suspect the reason you prefer the Indian menthols may be because they are actually made from natural menthol (ie distilled out of mint) as opposed to (I would wager) all other snuffs which is made from synthesized menthol.” What are you willing to wager?
S.M 500 uses Chinese menthol crystals.
I would bet against that statement also!
