Sanded a little v-shaped notch out of one side of a Heartwood sliding top. I now have a tiny tapbox for toasts. I’m impatient and was tired of waiting for the snuffhouse boxes to come back in stock. Necessity and invention and all that good stuff.

Clever, I was think the reverse; to put a groove cut out in the bottom section for a measured amount.

That’s a great idea @basement_shaman . I’ll do that on the next one. I have more than one toast, after all.

I’ve been on the fence about a heartwood box. Not anymore. I’d go for one of those tripletech boxes, but they seem to be sold out on the woodensnuffbox website. 

I use my tripletech box daily, it’s full of White Elephant. @rusty_sanchez sent him a request.

 I also carry those heartwood  laser engraved boxes  https://mrsnuff.com/heartwood-laser-p-3466.html. I find they are small enough I can carry several different one with me for variety. here is a tip; I always coat the underside of the lid ,inside and outside the box with paragon pipe wax twice yearly ; helps with siding open saves on wear and tear and keeps humidity from making the lid swell.I always carry my pipe knife to use as a spoon to snuff off of or load a boxcar full.   

@basement_shaman - Thanks for the great tip about the wax on the heartwood boxes, just tried it on my couple and works well…makes them easier to slide, but not too easy to open accidentally. 

Dose anyone know if P C is still making the tripletech boxes? checked wep site but says temp down (new to snuff so not sure if it has been down along time or just recent)
