I recently recieved my Mr Snuff order and I recieved two 50 gram tins of HDT. Funny thing is the flavour seems to be less pronounced than in my 25 gram tin that I haven’t finished yet. It seems alot more mellow not as strong. Is this all in my head?
Perhaps it just needs a little air to bring out the flavor.
I agree with Johndeere89 It might just need a little breathing time. I wouldn’t leave the tin open or anything. I’d just use it for a few days and then let it sit (mature) for a few weeks. Come back to it and let us know what you find
@EricHill78 I just got my HDT and was wondering the same. I have found in the past that F&T’s get better with age, as previous post have suggested. How are you finding the Irish ‘D’ light?
I find that all of the unscented snuffs I’ve ever had seem diffrent from tin to tin noticably so. As already said tobacco ages also adding scents is easier to make a consistent product. Something more natural like tobacco is going to have variations just like vegies. With pipe tobacco and cigars it’s easier to make the product consistent by tweaking the reciepe slightly more or less this way or that by adding a little more of one strain. With snuff they tend to blend less tobacco types into one blend.
I find my F&T HDT ages well in my Triple Tech. After a week or so it has noticably more flavour than in the tin.
I appreciate the advice guys… I’ll try to give it a week or two and see if it makes the difference, it’s funny how many variables there are with snuff. @Khalid unfortunately they weren’t able to add those tins last minute for me so just got the hdt, grunt, and d white. I’ll add those other toasts to my next order to try them out.

@khalid It’s alot better since i’ve been using it… Just needed some air Im guessing. Not exactly the same as the 25 tin but it’s fantastic none the less. I’ve been pinching staight from the 50. I was thinking of moving it to the smaller tin but I’m lazy lol. It’s alot easier to pinch from the 50. I don’t think it’ll loose much anyway because it’s such a dry snuff to begin with.
Update… You all were absolutely correct… It’s been a few weeks since I opened the tin. I just took a pinch and it was amazing! It just needed to mature I guess. It’s perfect now.
