I’m starting to find I’m craving these SWS and Abraxas snuffs especially the SWS but I have still to receive my order of the better Abraxas that I have yet to try and I didn’t get to try the first 2 SWS. I still use other snuff but I’m getting the feeling that they are a bit less appealing than before and it’s mostly down to the base tobaccos but it could be just another phase? Well then all you connoisseurs, lets have a survey…

Nope! Sam Gawith, Fribourg and Treyer and Wilsons of Sharrow are staple foods for the nose. I like cheesecake, I REALLY like cheesecake, but I wouldn’t want it everyday

I agree with mouse. Variety all day every day. My connoisseur snuffs are used at random. I would love to use them more often but that would get a bit pricey for me.

NO, in fact, I have traded away all my fancy snuffs except for Cafe 11.

I went through a phase were I only wanted SWS CDF or SWS AA or ABXS CC or 11 or PF, now I really only hit them scarcely…what I would give to have my order on route in mail get here, I’d take taxi blue over all of the above… I like variety also, I got bored with there sheer excellence after awhile… I’m hitting this SG Rasberry like hell now and may be bored with that in a few days… It may be overuse or Its our individual preferences…i always got bored after 4th or 5 time vacationing in same place… we all need something new to spark the senses…I also always got bored ( when I was younger with the same female ) come to think of it, I’m bored with the current one now…that’s why I’m hitting her sparcely also … Lol

It is good to use the CONNOISSEUR snuffs while fresh. They will make more. Yea hit them hard and often. and use your stash to fall back on; until a new gem catches your nose. Variety is the spice of life and rotation of your stash will keep you from getting in a snuff rut. We are so fortunate to have the access to a world of snuff. So why limit yourself?

Good range of opinion there, some surprising. Thanks as always for taking the time to comment on my questions. I think the result is something like no it doesn’t really matter, which is probably the best philosophy. I think I am just going through a bit of adjustment to using these upmarket snuffs but I wouldn’t want not to have the others that are on offer and price is a factor for sure but that means I still have a hell of a lot to try. If I hadn’t joined this forum I probably would be blissfully ignorantly pledging my sole devotion to Wos no.22 and a few of their SP’s and so forth. Talking of snuff ignorance, I met 2 aquaintances yesterday both smokers and they both insisted that snuff causes cancer when it gets into your lungs etc and would not accept that as far as we know it does not. No point arguing with them. BTW I’m trying FOJ with Drac today. Another interesting blend but hot hot hot! On the way I’ve got Cerise and PB and Cafe 11 and Dragun and Taxi Blue (someone mentioned above) and a load of Toques including Pomegranite - thanks to Xander’s recommendation - so that should be enough to keep me entertained for the next stint of my snuff journey.

I like to think of them as Christmas and Birthday snuffs. I could never afford to use these regularly, as I take 8g or so a day.
