The names are awful, but they have some interesting flavours. Has anyone gotten their hands on these? The way they are packaged lends me to the thought that they are produced by Dholakia. Plus, their flavours sound extremely similar to Dholakia’s list of new snuffs. Ah, when I click on a particular flavour the next page that comes up has Dholakia in front of the name of the snuff. At any rate, why would they come out with three different brands for their new flavours? Perhaps Mr. Snuff can shed some light on this? ~Snuffy
check out the dholakia website. They claim each one is in a catagory or type. Like temptation is the dessert snuffs.
Gentlemen/Ladies. Yes, they are the new Dholakia’s. I have them listed on the site as Dholakia American.
And yes, the few I’ve tried so far are excellent.
Tim sent me a sample of Roasted Nuts and its very good!
I have an Apple Pie sample. Wrote my thoughts in Namrata’s column on here a few weeks ago. Its good. I have a few more on order. Looking forward to them.
I guess it’s a cool idea to separate them like that. Definitly a new idea. ~Snuffy
I’ve tried a few so far, none that I would buy. I didn’t know about the Coffee Bite, might have to try that one out.
I really want to try the Maple and Brandy. I’m not sure if I like the new flashy packaging or not. Next time I order from Tom’s store, I’ll get a few of them to try.
@Snuffy, I was actually looking at Snuffhouse with gritted teeth for the last 2 weeks because of this “new line,” it’s like a nice rabbit punch to my ribs seeing this new topic. but good. You’re the snuffer with the life. Not having anxiously anticipated this “new arrival.” Anyway. I think the less exotic the name is i.e. Salem ultra spanking cool minTy! Vs. Dholakia the more it might catch some of the prospective market. “yeah, you Blast? nah, I Wow.”
The more odd flavors I try, even though they are usually good, I find myself preferring the old stand bys, like basic menthol, and sweet fruity menthol, and a few non flavored non menthols I have tried(best to me so far is Rockit’s Naked). So, I’d try them all, but it’d have to really wow me to get again. I am still a relative newby, and I haven’t tried a lot, but then I think I have tried quite a few various snuffs, and only maybe 5 or so I’d get again. Tom502
I’ve tried the Whisky with Honey, Coconut Toffee and Coffee Cream varieties and they’re pretty tasty. Will probably make an order of another couple of flavours from Nicotine Rush soon.
not me the more crazy flavours I try the more crazy flavours I have an opinion about. Some I love some I think is not so loveable. The classics however are classic for a reason I assume.
I just ordered a bunch of them. I suspect they will all be good, I generally like Dholakia made snuffs, and they may be my fave snuff company after Poschl. Can’t remember all I ordered, Rum, Cola, Champagne, Orange Choco, Coffee Bite… I’ll post a rundown when they arrive. Tom502
@bob: No kidding about the classics, I’m a fool for the Fribourg & Treyer HDT now. I did get a sample; generous portion by the way, of Lime and Lemony. It’s like the packager at Nicotine Rush had a sense about these things, I loved it. Some days it’s Sprite, some days it’s salty, but good all around.
hdt is in my nose all the time great snuff.
Mango Cream is essentially Asian. Western palates might not necessarily discern the flavorings. although maybe you’re adventurous. It reminds me a lot of the Dried Mango that’s available widely in Asian groceries and Coffee Mate. Warm at the top and then an acidic bite later. I enjoy it. I think I owe this review of Grape Concourde to Snuffhouse considering how much I’ve asked for grape… yeah grape… metallic purple tin grape… Ok, so it didn’t come in a metallic tin. But this grape was exactly what i was looking for. Not the conossieur grape that might be turned into a vintage wine but grape like Welch’s. It’s actually quite complex since it’s candy and air freshener all in different stages.
I was looking at the Dholakia site, of the new Wow! type snuffs, and they say smash cans, and tubs, yet the picture is of these cool tap-out cans. What’s with that? I’d prefer a tap-out can. Also they need to change that music, and put a raga on instead. Tom502
I hate tap out cans.
soon DHOLAKIA will be available in tin containers with screw lid,tap out containers…in vey nnovative shape and also all regular containers will be available.our distributor can select any containers …we will supply…as per his order…i am sure …no one will have any more complain with our containers…
I thought they are fine the way they are, Namrata.
still thought to give choice…one can select as per liking.
Yeah, I didn’t have a “complaint”, I like the little plastic smash cans, it’s just I like tap-out cans in general, more. Not everyone agrees though, as many are pinchers, and I’m a tapper, or a take a pinch and run it down as a line on my back of hander. Your cans are better than Wilsons, I’ll say that. So the new metal cans, will that be like the Toque cans? But yeah, personally, I don’t “dislike” the smash cans, I like them. But if I had the option of a smash can or a tap-out can, I would choose the tap-out. But yeah, offering a choice is great. Cool! Tom502
that is awesome. Choice is grand.
Of these new lines, to me, the Blast is the line that’s appeals less to me. Though I thought they’d appeal the most, which I why I bought more of them, than the others. The best one of the bunch of what I have had, and I haven’t tried them all, is Whisky Honey. The Rum Special, just isn’t too speacial, IMO, same with Gin & Tonic, maybe a bit more OK is the Brandy Maple, and Cola Champagne I think I like a bit more. So of the Blasts, I like Whisky Honey best, then then Cola Champagne, then Brandy Maple, then Rum Special, then Gin & Tonic. Oh, I have a sampler of Port Wine & Cheese, which I’d guess is the Wine & Cheese, and that’s not bad. Now the Temptation ones I have, I do like alot. Lime & Lemony, Grape Concord, Orange Chocolate, Mango Cream. Not in order, though the Mango Cream is the last one on my Temptation list ofthe ones I have. I don’t have that many of the Wow!, but I really like Coffee Bite alot. Apple Pie is good too, Coconut Toffee is decent. Of the ones I haven’t mention, as I don’t have them, or have tried them, how are they? How is the Roasted Nuts and American Caramel, and Fruit Cake? And Minty Vanilla sounds promising, and I think I read some positive feedback on Purple Passion.
Grape is my favorite flavor, can’t wait to try it.
I think the Grape Concord is great.
Just got the Wine & Cheese, Brandy Maple & Lime & Lemony with a Gin & Tonic Sample. Will give my impressions once I spend a bit more time with these. I personally think the marketing concept is very solid to pull in a younger snuff crowd. With some solid full page adds with flashy graphics in a popular men’s magazine such as Maxim I could see this stuff being a huge seller. I think Dholakia is on the right track, I do wish they would put “Dholakia” somewhere on the packaging though.
Big, if you look on the side, these new ones do say Dholakia Tobacco on them.
Hehehe didn’t notice as I was looking at a Fubar while typing the last comment.
I have noticed that some of these listed, either didn’t get made, or wasn’t made available. like the “Strong Menthol” and a few others. I see a “Cherry Menthol” too.
Some of the names were changed slightly. ‘Menthol Strong’ is available. Fruitcake w/Vanilla was changed to ‘Fruitcake’.
I don’t see anyone carrying the Blast: “Menthol Strong”. I also see Blast: “Regular plain snuff”, and Temptation: “Cherry Menthol”. I also noticed the one I haven’t tried of the available ones is “Minty Vanilla”. Though for me, a few of these are great(Whisky Honey, Orange Chocolate, Grape Concord…) most are OK(ie: not “bad”), but the “Menthol Strong”, and the “Regular Plain Snuff” interests me, but I wonder if they are/where just repackagings(or ideas) of previous blends, like “Medicated”(or Ice Cool), “Grunt”(or Smokers Blend), or “She Cherry Menthol”(Rockit Cherry Pop)? I really like the bulk of Dholakia snuffs, but all the brands, and cross flavors, and variety seems overkill to me.
There were two that were not sent to us this time around. Menthol Strong and Cherry Menthol. Have no idea if we will eventually receive them.
I just bought some snuff, not that I “needed” any, but I was low on straight up menthols, and I noticed on MrSnuff he had a Blast Menthol Strong. I almost got it, but I was thinking maybe this is the same as Fubar Medic(which is good), and for a 25g tin it was only 34 cents less than Hedges The Snuff, so I went on and got that, as I know that one is a mind blower. So, anyone tried the Blast Menthol Strong?
I have only used English snuffs, about every one of the Wilsons snd several SG, GH. McCrystalsand Toque. I signed up for some Dholakia samples about five weeks ago and am looking forward to trying something new.
