I was just wondering what everyone thought of this snuff. Can’t really find any reviews on it, and was just wondering how it stands with the other FUBAR products. I love Grunt, but am not much into Medic. If anyone could let me know what they think of this snuff I would really appreciate it. Thanks alot. ~Snuffy
From what I’ve heard, RnR is the least great of the FUBAR line, but then again, I’ve never tried it, so I can’t say for sure.
It’s my least favorite, but that’s not saying much because I generally dislike fruit flavored snuffs, save for a few. This isn’t one of those exceptions. It’s as good as any other apricot snuff I’ve had though, somewhat lightly mentholated and strong for a fruit snuff. If you like fruit snuffs, you might love it. edit: I just tried some more to be fair, and it’s really quite good. It does leave a nice peachy sort of flavor/aftertaste for several minutes and the menthol is light, depends on your preference. I still prefer the other flavors but it’s nice to have it around and it’s bound to last quite a while.
I just received my order with fubar r&r in it, it has a strong fruit scent to it thats for sure. Also gives a nice vitamin N hit to it, I can use this all day, Love it.
I hated this stuff to begin with but decided to give the range a second go after a couple of weeks. I found that it really grew on me and its actually one of my favourites now. Funny how that happend, its also works in reverse for as well,sometimes - loved Toque Bourbon for aboput a week and now can’t stand it. The fubar range is made by Dholkia and I think its a little masterpiece now.
how’s it compare to the incomprable grunt?
Its nice, if you like the grunt you should like this.
I have tried all the FUBAR line. Just as a background, I will also mention what I thought so you have better reference. My favorite was the Medic. It’s the best of the all day snuffs because you don’t smell like cow dung when you do it, unlike some scotches or others. It also burns the least. Grunt is OK. Not bad, but great. I don’t like the postnasal drip. The RnR I didn’t like. It’s cloyingly fruity, but doesn’t taste like Apricot. Just like all the other FUBAR products, it’s a strong, simple and rough around the edges product. I know someone from India whose brother owns some tobacco growing land and he tells me that generally the first rate quality tobacco is sold for export, and the 2nd and 3rd grades are sold locally. Not that the FUBAR line is bad, but it is a bit “rougher around the edges” than the other Dholakias or any other offering, its greatest clame to fame being the N-hit, I wonder if it indeed is a 2nd line tobacco being marketed to the west. Just a thought. But no, I didn’t think highly of RnR. Too cloying and confused, very “one note”. The regular Dholakia line is better IMHO. If you want the punch go for the black or white types. And if you want fruity, go Toque.
FWIW I’ve only used the Shot Of Rum from the FUBAR line. Has an astringent quality to the smell that is reminiscent of alchohol. Rum perhaps, but good nonetheless for that “nightcap” experience (-;
