Give me your general impression of the product when compared to the standard mint.
All I have to say about this specific product is that it was a disappointment. It only came with 12 portions and lacked the subtely salty finish that is common in Swedish snus. Also, I found it to be much too sweet. It almost resides in camel snus territory. Maybe i need to give another portion I try prior to passing final judgement.
Nordic Mint is less minty than General Mint. At least you can get hints of the underlying tobacco with Nordic. Between the two I’d take Nordic every time. Fortunately I don’t have to take mint snus very often. The only ones I seem to like come from Skruf. Much like snuff I prefer my tobacco forward and any mint of menthol to be secondary.
@bigmick I actually finished the tin a week ago and I have to say that have reevaluating the flavor it is not as bad as my initial first impression. Personally I do enjoy Mint snus. However, B&Ms unfortunately sells this snus for the same price as the 24 portions of general making it a poor value.
@peter77 Around here the coffin cans are right at half the price of round cans.
@bigmick I am not sure where you live, however, you guys are lucky. The coffin cans are only a dollar less than the 24 portions here in AZ. A few months back I use to be able to obtain the 24 portions can for 2.16 and the came with a coupon for 1.50 off. However, for whatever absurd reason now they are 4.49 a can. It certainly could be worse. Back when I first tried Swedish snus (when I lived in MA, 3 years ago) it was approximately 6.67 a can after tax. However, they did offer a sampler for 2.11 that had 16 portions and figured that 4.22 for 32 wasn’t bad. I love snus, if the fees from the PACT where not so high, I would probably be placing very large orders with buysnus.com and snuscentral.
