When I use a certain brand of snuff for some reason I feel sick and my nose feels like I cant breath through it.I dont get this with any other snuff and was wondering if anyone has ever had this also.
perhaps an allergy? you have any known allergies?
NMD or other Dr. with a lab may help identify any allergens, toxins or irritants as well as diagnose and treat.
Zwiefacher made me feel a little queezy sometimes, no idea why. I think it had something to do with the food-like smell, it’s not like it was a nicotine powerhouse or anything.
I know when I use certain premium snuff I have a tendency to sneeze, not right off but shortly after but I am usually good after that.
@bam - Which snuff is it? Is it plain, scented, floral, citrus, coffee, etc? Moist or fine? Mentholated? This would help a lot - I do have a nasal reaction to some snuffs, usually due to rebound congestion when using menthols.
@Firestarter I am thinking it could be an allergy I am not allergic to anything that I know of but definately somethings not right. @noworry it would be something I would look into if the problem arises again but I think its a reaction to certain snuffs I know it sounds weird !! @horus92 It sounds like the reaction I get @basement_shaman I am the same with some snuffs but like you say once I have sneezed thats usually it. @hdsale Its a range of snuffs from one manufacturer I have tried all different types from mentholated, plain to toasted etc and all of them give the same reaction I am wondering if its something they add to the snuff at the base level as they also make snuff for another company and I get the same reaction with that also.
what brand is it, as it may be possible to work out whats in it and suggest others with similar ingredients to try?
@Firestarter its Dholakia which is just my luck as they have a huge range I tried fubar and it had the same result again.I have never had a problem with any other snuff just these for some reason.
ok. have you tried any other indian snuffs from say… 6photo? i suggest trying a light, a black and a menthol snuff from a company like 6p and see what happens.
@ Firestarter I have got a 6photo here come to mention it its the 666 menthol one I have used it a few times with no problem.I will try the light and black from their range as you suggest and see how I go.
Oddly the one that plays me up, though thankfully without any sickness, is Dragun Menthol. This is somewhat annoying as I actually really like the scent and nose feel of this initially, but within twenty minutes my ose blocks up solid This has lead to this being a bit of neglected snuff in my collection.
@MisterPaul I am yet to try Dragun Menthol I am currently using the standard Dragun and have to admit its becoming a firm favourite of mine its a very unusual snuff and cant quite place the aroma but I do like it
@Bam It’s a good one; it just doesn’t agree with me for some reason… It’s possibly a little more refined and ‘fresher’ some how than regular Dragun - Maybe the menthol ‘carries’ the other casings or something. I have a similar issues with regular Dragun… |Darn annoying as there both tops aroma wise.
@MisterPaul It is annoying especially when its a snuff you like thankfully there is loads of others to choose from
@Firestarter I have been using 6 photo, natural, cheetak and 666 menthol with no problems at all Thanks for the advice I am well happy as I do like the indian snuffs
