Growing your own

For the last two seasons I’ve planted Rustica without much success. Yesterday I’ve noticed a lot of new, well developed plants which have sprouted from seeds dropped by the last plants. The plants seems very happy and I believe it’s because they are in their own timing now. THEY have decided that it’s the right time to start growing. Who am I to question them about it? It’s cold and rainy but they don’t seems to care. Neither do I.

Congrats!

Nice! My grow last season went perfectly, but this season I managed to kill 90% of my seedlings. But, just like you described, my rustica came back, all on it’s own! The pots from last year just started sprouting tobacco! I’m only growing rustica this season, and I can’t wait to try this seasons crop. I’m going to start processing last seasons crop in the next few weeks! I’ve got dark tobacco, small stalk black mammoth, va gold, and some yellow Orinoco that will be snuff soon!

Can you just dry the leaves and grind them or do you have to ferment them?

Will you use leaf AND stem or just the leaf? I dunno if I’ve ever tried rustica

I can’t get on with N. Rustica due to the MAOI’s harmine and harmaline causing me panic attacks. I don’t feel I’m missing anything being so sensitive because that strain is not at all fragrant, in fact it stinks.

Anyone know a good site to buy the dried foliage?

@Juxtaposer That’s really interesting how did you figure that out? I’m rather prone to panic attacks too and I’ve gotten them from tobacco several times ( can’t tell you when or what type it was) and I always have wondered what was going on at that time…
