Is there a thread on growing and aging tobacco?
Yes there is http://fairtradetobacco.com/forum.php
For growing, specifically, I recommend www.howtogrowtobacco.com. There’s a thread somewhere in here with the same name as this one where a few of us posted our experiences growing our own tobacco for snuff.
It’s very possible, as long as you have a 60 day growing season. I’ve grown some very satisfactory snuff in my 22" pots.
@basement_shaman and @puffpuff, thanks for the links. This is exactly what I need. I like the idea of growing in pots because I could start them inside and harden them off. I’ll hunt around and find a suitable variety for my zone.
Here in Australia, growing your own is prohibited and the penalties for doing so are more severe than for growing/using pot. The reason? Growing your own tobacco = tax evasion. (Tobacco is heavily taxed here.)
@Rake, that is just sad!!!

Totally lame. In the US there’s some number of plants a person can grow, I forget the number. I’m in Detroit which means nobody’s paying attention. I found a couple links which are intriguing. http://www.tobaccoseed.co.uk/Snuff\_Tobacco.html W77 🤡 Situs Bisa Membuat Uang Asli Grow Weeknes Dalam Kejayaan There’s a great history of suff in Detroit so producing some will be a historical re-enactment.
Anybody ever do business with this place? http://www.leafonly.com/
@rake A law like that seems unenforceable to me.
@DocCherry thats the site i purchase from. Its a little pricey, but has excelent customer service, fast shipping, and good selection.
