During a trip to a (semi) local tobacconist, I came across some tins of “Grand Prix Genuine Swedish Snus”. I automatically bought one (didn’t hurt that they were only $1.75 a piece.) Anyway, it says on the back that it is made in Sweden, so I guess they are putting out more of an effort than Camel. They had wintergreen, spearmint, and original. I bought the spearmint and I’m not sure what to make of it. The flavour isn’t very strong (but then again, I only tried one of them) and there seems to be a very high salt content…even higher, seemingly, than the various Swedish Snus’s I have tried. It wasn’t refrigerated, however, which can’t mean anything good. I was just wondering if anyone has heard about, or tried this product. I am not a huge snus user, so I’m not sure what to make of it. Thanks. ~Snuffy

Grand Prix is the same as the Tourney snus, mainly marketed by Speedway stores. It’s a poor imitation of snus. I prefer Camel to Grand Prix, and I would prefer American dip to Camel. Around here Grand Prix disappeared about a year ago when Tourney started to show up, so any that I find here is really old.
