Got my reviewer's hamper from Six Photo today...

I was pleased as punch when the postman arrived with my reviewer’s hamper from @vikas at Six Photo today. What a lovely package it is! EIGHT pots of glorious Six Photo snuff (currently enjoying an invigorating pinch of Special, lovely snuff), a very nice watch, washbag, face-towel, notepad and a really interesting catalogue pamphlet about the company and their snuffs. So a huge THANKYOU to @vikas, I’ll really enjoy this hamper, and will report back with my thoughts on the snuffs

@Jinder, explain to me what a “reviewers hamper” is, if you don’t mind ! Thanks man, I am just really curious as to what exactly you’re talking about :stuck_out_tongue:

I think he is talking about the prize pack that he received for his 6 Photo review during the contest last month.

OOOHHH right on! Congrats @Jinder !

Was it all wrapped in burlap?

Hehehe alas not…however, I’ve spent the day wrapped in delicious Indian snuffs! The white snuffs pack a mammoth punch, n’est pas?

Thanks for the post @Jinder.Has anybody else got your hamper? Look forward to the posts!

I got mine today.  I’ll post pictures when I get home from work tonight.

so did I! love the watch. And the snuff is amazing. Haven’t tried much of it but it’s really nice.

I got my hamper! Thanks @Vikas.

Wow! Medicated is a must have. I love the scent of cardamom so much I think sometimes I hallucinate this aroma in various snuff but this time it’s obvious: cardamom scented snuff with mild menthol-camphor. For me cardamom is the Queen of spices (saffron being the King). This blend is a pure delicacy. The flour is similar to super chetak. I feel like I am in love again!

Medicated # 66 is similar to Dholakia medicated. Medium Menthol camphor. Nice reddish brown color and the grind is more on the medium side than fine. Again, a well made product.

@MrSnuff I just looked on your website. The description for Medicated and Medicated #66 are the same. But they are quite different snuffs.

I guess I won’t be posting pictures (damn camera!)

I’ve got to agree with KebAMP about the medicated, awesome snuff!

I have not tried Dholakia medicated to compare with No. 66, but the grind gets a big “thumbs-up” from me (and from a dude at work who will be ordering himself some with my next order).

The Natural is kind of difficult to describe, it is not grassey, nor barnyard, nor fishey, nor woody, nor earthy.  It is just “subtle” in its pleasantness.  It has a nice initial burn which is not terrible and fades quickly.  I see much more of this one, in particular, in my future.

Thanks Vikas!  (as a Hitch-hiker’s Guide fan, a really appreciate the towel)

:D:D:D

man everyone of these snuffs is amazing. Each and every single one. Can’t wait to review them. Each one is the bomb and totaly unique.

loveing the chetak right now. That’s an amazing snuff. So awesome. :ar!

I received my gift hamper yesterday. Thanks Vikas!

Since, to date, I have always used a pocket watch, my 6 Photo wrist watch will probably give me several opportunities for proslytizing the virtues of snuff in the not too distant future.

Some of the containers only have Sanskrit script on them (I recognize the red lable of Special but I will have to dig on the 6 Photo site to figure out some of the others if one of them hits me as a “MUST HAVE.”)

I got 9 samples… Those with English lables are:
Chetak
Medicated
Cheeta
Medicated No. 66
La Snuff (Natural)

This leaves me with 3 “mystery snuffs.” One has a yellow lable and gold top, one has a gold label and gold top, one has a tan label and a green top.

Guess, I will be playing detective soon.

BTW: I went to the source code and replaced some paragraph breaks with line breaks in order to make this post more readable.

@HowdyDave - The green lid is Anarkali, and the other two is Kailash.  The light snuff is the super variety and the dark is the mere mortal variety.

@Pennanngalen – Thanks!

I’m still working on my Kailash and Special shipments that I got from Mr. Snuff.
