Thanks to all Snuffhouse folks for all the kindness and support with Abraxas but I’m going to hand in my membership - I can’t stay on a site where people are banned for criticising a company, whether it’s the owners, mine or anyone else’s. Well this is sad news. good luck, Nigel, wish you would stay … i am sure we are all hoping you will reconsider. but as i mentioned to you in a message, it felt like more than honest criticism, it felt like relentless flame and attacks without sitting back and listening to Dave’s responses. No one is questioning honest criticism of any vendor, company or maker. my two cents.(worth about 1/2 that! 
) cannot wait for new Abraxas flavors in the future … good luck. You will be missed.

As @snuffbrant stated this is certainly SAD news, and I am sure the list of members who will feel the same way, will also miss you, this will certainly be reflected in this being a long thread. I beleive in MIRACLES and hope this will not be the last post I read written by Abraxas. Being on this forum I certainly enjoyed reading Abraxas posts and have certainly learned so much from your vast amount of knowledge and it is ashame that myself, current and future members will only be able to go through the archives and won’t be able to get your input any longer. Your products are impeccable and I sure hope that ABRAXAS SNUFF will still be available for decades to come. I WISH YOU AND YOURS MUCH HEALTH AND CONTINUED SUCCE$$
I had a similar reaction when I saw that thread. It’s too bad when the forum mods are bigger hotter heads than the guys they’re supposed to be regulating. Everyone deserves a chance to correct their behavior if they’re crossing a line. I have zero respect for forum mods that wildly swing their authority around like they’re compensating for some shortcoming. That was a productive discussion prior to the mod losing his mind and closing it, and it kind of reinforces the negative feelings toward Mr Snuff. It’s their forum after all, and ultimately David is responsible for everything that occurs here whether he likes it or not.
You will be missed. I support your decision either way but like so many members here would say I would love to see you stay. I am looking forward to more new products from you. Keep up the excellent work.

I too feel that a mod throwing weight around like that, threatening to dish immediate bans out and do away with chances is a bit far, but that is my personal feeling, and i do understand that as a mod, it doesnt matter whether i agree with their actions or not, they do have the power to do what they like here and it is not for me to criticise- they have been appointed that power and control after all. We will miss you- though i do so look forward to trying new snuffs from you, and continuing my very obvious love for some of your incredible current lines.

not sure why this thread has become a “pile on mod” thread … am i missing something? i, for one, compared to most other forums, enjoy the way the mods, same mods as ever, handle this site. No BS, really. that doesn’t mean that the same stupid thread isn’t regurgitated over and over, or someone doesn’t know how to search the site so asks the same stupid question that has been answered a million times, or someone machine gun posts just to see their own count go up for what it’s worth, etc. … i mean, if i were a mod, hell, it would just be me and anyone giving me free snuff and snus! i’d toss everyone! ha! anyway … …flamers and trolls were tossed - hammer down. kept politics, religion and personal battles under wraps … complaining about a vendor, MrSnuff, is legit, but flaming on him isn’t and that is what that thread turned into. There was no constructive retort to Dave’s mea culpa. Not six months ago this use to be an even tighter ship … so for those of you who think the mods are throwing weight or trying to make up for inadequacies, please refrain. trust me, there are far too many idiots kicking around here and other sites to ever think they just want to toss someone willy-nilly … myself included. Relative anonymity of the web doesn’t really license any of us to be king douchebags. FFS! b-( Cranky old man goes back to sleep I-) all this talk about how gentlemanly snuff is … well … let’s see it! back to civility.

Hey motherlover (can’t swear completeily.) You gotta at least let me change your mind since you did the same for me a few years ago when I had enough of some things on this list. All I’ll say it’s like anything else far from perfect but there are a few too many people I’d genuinily miss some I’ve not even meet yet. Well I’ve tried.
I have to add at the risk of sounding like a mod lover (which I’am, for humans they do a pretty good job). I’am suprised the thread didn’t get closed earlier. I think people are looking at the thread as it stands now, not as it stood before the banning. There are edits in there that make it seem nicer then it was. I know I don’t appreciate being insulted for having a good opinion of a vendor who has done well by me. I don’t care that someone disagreed, just like the mods don’t care about either. And second chances I’am sure the offender got a second chance considering some of the things he’s said on other threads. The kind of things that make you think wait till the mods see that.
I should deleted the entire thread, just by the title alone, immediately. I waited to get some input from the other mods, my mistake. If the thread would have been directed at a “regular” member, I wouldn’t have hesitated one second.
Sorry to see you go Nigel. One member was banned because of troll behavior, not because of any criticism of any company. Another member was banned for being abusive towards other members. Its that simple. When you ran this site you banned people for any issue that you saw fit. As I run this site I have used some caution but there are times that need swift action; this was one of those times.

When that thread was closed I understand it was a prevention method, but I feel the same way as you as far as the reaction was to it, especially the “bans WILL be handed out” part. Seeing those final two posts certainly changed my level of comfort here at Snuffhouse. I understand why you want to leave, and I almost want to leave too, but where else would I go? I probably respect you more than anyone else on here, and I remember opening up that giant sample of Dragun you sent me, it must have been 35+ grams stuffed into that tin. I want you to know before you leave that you are responsible for so much of the knowledge and appreciation I have for snuff. I hope this isn’t the last time I speak with you, you were one of the most helpful members here. I hope you know that your actions here may very likely be a precedent for others on Snuffhouse. I wish you the best of luck with your Abraxas brand and all your life’s endeavors. Take care my friend.
