I’ve decided to have a go at giving up smoking with snuff. I’m on day 4 with no problems so far. I’m taking 4 pinches at a time and that seems to do the job. It’s early days but we’ll see. Any good advice would be appriciated.
No real advice I can give, but I know its possible. I kicked a 20 year Camel Filter pack a day habit with snuff. All I can say is stay strong, and don’t get discouraged if you slip and end up smoking, just turn it around and make it strengthen your resolve. Good luck.
I have quit before with snuff although my methods of taking it were different, i used to use the bic pen method and the bullet and am now using the pinch method which seems to work a lot better and have a greater effect although a lot more unclean. More enjoyable though.

Thanks noob. I’ve been using snuff on and off for about 10 years and tried to guit the cigs several times. One thing i do know and that is snuff is at least as effective as the gum lozege etc. And a lot cheaper.
@pfaber11 At least you have advantage of experience and know your snuff so I’m sure you can quit cigarettes. I hadn’t snuffed in decades when guitting but was familiar with snus, which was instrumental while learning snuff. Now I do well with snuff only. Good luck!
YOU CAN DO IT!!!
I suggest using both snus and snuff. Helps alter things up and different kind of kick/flavor. Ken
The good thing about snus is you can put it in and forget it while you work. While sitting and relaxing nothing beats snuff.
And while driving snus is easier, and well on a motorcycle snus is great. Not sure how you would even attempt to snuff while riding a motorcycle. Ken
As some would say snus for when you don’t want to or can’t stick you fingers in your nose every 20 minutes. Snuff for when things are more hands free.
I use snus on stage, easier than trying to fight the stereo type of a musician putting a powder in his nose! However I have to double check the set list to make sure it is not there if I have to do a lead vocal or play harmonica. Ken
I quit smoking a couple of weeks before I started to use snus. Before snus, I’d still have the occasional crave for smoke. Snus pretty much took care of that issue. A month after using snus, I started using snuff. Because of the snuff, I lost interest in snus. The PACT helped with that also. Now, I still use the occasional snus. After my stash is gone, I will be done with the snus. Snuff will take care of my addicted needs. It can be done.
I have tried snus about a year ago and did not really enjoy it. Had thunder frosted and phantom. Prefered the phantom. The main problem is you cannot buy it in the uk so have to buy it over the internet. The taxes are very high. Still got a bit in the fridge and have one every now and then. Dont think much of the taste though.

Just to say it but it is true they are not typical snuses in the flavour department. The phantom less so then the thunder frosted.
