So, I’ve basically come to the realization that I only use a handful of the varieties of snuffs I’ve accumulated over the last three years. In conjunction with the fact that I’m moving and doing so via one Honda Accord full of my possessions, I really need to save space and figured I’d ask here if anyone would be interested in taking the rest of my collection off my hands (assuming they’d pay for shipping it via USPS priority flat rate box)? Basically, all I snuff is Wilsons IHT 22, McC’s O&G and Toque Natural. All the rest of it has set relatively untouched over the last six months, and I can’t see any reason to keep it around. I have no idea how to decide who to give it to or if this is even an appropriate thing to post, as I haven’t been in here in what must be close to a year now. Anyway, thoughts? When the box is ready, the one who has it will tell you, then paypal some money for shipping, and then you do the same when the box comes to you.

Let me run this out there Since this is not a traditional box pass in that it is not going back to TheLong It seems that the object is to diminish the supply of snuff in the box until it is eventually gone. From my count if we limited the pass to the first 10 people who sign on, then every one could take 5 items and put one in (I have two to put in- which will even it out). The last person would get the remaining 5 tins but no choice- kind of a mystery box of snuff (in turn the shipping will be quite low by that time so no real risk. Anyway, the point is that the box pass runs out with the 10th person and everyone gets a nice selection. Your thoughts? So far we have 6 people

Or anyone along the line can say, “I’m keeping it” and then the next one doesn’t have to pay anything. I can’t gaurantee I’ll only keep five, but I have a bunch I can add. I know its more than five. So really its up to you guys down the line what to do.

What a great idea. I can’t register for this being in the UK, but I just wanted to say that this sort of thing could only work on a site were all the members were gentlemen. Which they clearly are.

Hey, thanks guys. @Onefortheroad: Actually I did leave the island about six months ago and moved to Homer, the town at the “end of the road.” Now I’m moving back to live with my girlfriend in Wrangell as we make plans for the future: marriage, kids, that kind of thing. Everything is ready to head out to Xander in tomorrow’s mail, so hopefully this all works out well for everyone! Glad my collection is going to people who really enjoy it!

Please, everyone. Don’t send me all your addresses. I’m only going to need Sniffs’ address, and I have it. I’m not making a list of people. This thread is the only “list”. I’m taking what I want from the box, adding a few things, and then mailing it to Sniffs. He’ll take what he wants, etc. Then he’ll pass it on. The one recieving it pays the one sending it for shipping. Eventually somone will keep what’s left in the box. If it makes it out of the USA seems unlikely, but that is up to whomever has the box at the time and who wants it next.
One question only there Xander, or anyone: how are we paying back the last guy for the shipping? I saw paypal mentioned earlier, but I personally don’t have an account. I suppose I could get one, but are there any other options you guys can think of?
The last guy keeps the box. I paid TheLong. Sniffs will pay me. Not sure what to do without paypal. That’s between you and the guy sending you the box. Like Sniffs said, the idea is to diminish the box until its empty. Probably only the first 10 will get something. Of course it could keep going indefinatley, if people add more than they take. I would say, after it runs through everyone who already laid a claim on it, then the person who has it just post here that it is available.
So how far along are we, if you don’t mind me asking? By that I mean who has gotten the box so far?

I’m in the US and while some of the snuff being discussed looks interesting to me I’m going to decline to try to get in on this. However I am watching with interest to see how it unfolds, and how well this works for everybody who’s in on it. If this is successful in making its rounds etc, this sort of thing (or similar) could be one (of several) realistic responses to pending PACT, FDA etc restrictions. Good luck, everyone who’s participating, and keep us posted.

****Update**** I got the box yesterday evening (thanks Xander). I have just about finished with it and should have it out as soon as I get KrashKing’s info. I think I put in about as much as I took out (so it is still going strong). At this rate it will be the never ending pass. I mailed the box today to KK. He should have it by early next week. It seems the box is growing in weight. Good news for those further down the line. One thing I learned from all of this is that Seville smells like butt (needless to say, it’s still in the box). Anyway KK let us know when you get it and enjoy. @Snifs, I agree. The really powerfully scented snuffs just aren’t my bag. That’s why I’m sticking with Toque Natural, IHTs and McChrystal’s OG for a change of pace and sent out the rest of my snuff before I moved. Glad to see that this box is going strong!
