I don’t get it my girlfriend hates the fact that I do snuff because she says I will get a hole in my nose (but that only happens if one dose “coke” right?) So is there any more sufficient facts that I can tell her to convince her that snuff is not that bad for you.
Just dump her.
I’m the girlfriend in this house, and I’d be stoked if T.O.M. would ditch the smokes and start sniffing. Oh well, I guess it’s not his thing. He doesn’t give me a hard time about it though. He’s happy!
Sorry man, but some people are so brainwashed and believe that tobacco in any form is harmful to you, no matter what you tell her, what proof you show her, she is not going to change her mind.
Man , my girlfriend hates when i blow my nose , iam gonna travel tomorrow with her on vacation , i already picked what i will take with me (Best SP, Royal George, Kendal Brown Original , Quit and SM) and iam sure she will complain the all time. but iam used to it:)
I really dont get the things girlfriends and boyfriends complain about. I’ve always taken an aditude of hey this is what I do and I’ll be doing it longer then I’ll be with you so don’t even bother trying to compete with my vices hobbies or friends. Either adapt, let me have peace, or get out. Here is a fact she might want to consider there are plenty of woman that can deal with snuff and possible would enjoy doing snuff with you. Just something to think about.
How long have you guys been together? If its been a long time you might want to consider which is more valuable to you. Your relationship or tobacco? If you have only been together a short time and you don’t have serious feelings about her tell her you won’t be quitting snuff and if she has a problem with that she knows where the door is
Wife was so pleased when I started snuffing ( and eventually stopped smoking) that she buys all my snuff. Only thing we argue about is F&T french carotte. Says it stinks the house out, but I dont notice it. Rather proves the point, often voiced here, that people smell snuff differently .
I’m just glad my girlfriend likes snuff, not as much as me (she still smokes), but its nice to be able to share the hobby
My wife was a bit perturbed at first by the snuff thing, but now she’s so used to it I can take a pinch anywhere and she doesn’t bat an eye. Moreover, while she’d never try it herself (“Only two things go in this nose; Kleenex and the occasional finger!”), when I have a nice floral or fruit scent she’ll take a whiff of it. However, I do sympathize; there are some significant others out there (and yes that’s men or women) that aren’t happy unless you toe the line and fit their standard. Just remind them that lovin’ might be all right but vices will stick with you even through the worst of times. Is that horrible advice? Probably. Is it true? Yes. Lady Nicotine got me through some awfully long nights and dark days; today I’m happily married and a proud father, but Lady N will always be my mistress…
I found a snuff related quote that fits this subject. It’s from a Polish gentleman handbook written in 1867 under the title “Niezawodny zdobywca serca, czyli sztuka przypodobania się” which can be translated as “Reliable conqueror of a heart, or art of adulation”. It says: “Brzydzą się damy tymi, którzy zapychają sobie nos tabaką, używają zbyt widocznie chustki do od nosa, rozciągają takową przed użyciem i pozostawiają po sofach i krzesłach.” which means: “Abhor ladies those, who stuff their nose with snuff, use handkerchief too visibly, stretch it before use and leave on sofas and chairs.”

My Fiance loves my snuff habit. It keeps me away from dip and cigs.
I prefer a series of women, as opposed to one set woman. it makes womanly complaints and idiocy easier to bear when they come and go. hahaha!
@cstokes4 at the beginning my girlfriend was like your going to loose your nose like “M.J.” (Michael Jackson) and you would regret it that you ever got hooked on snuff then she got accustom to it but still a little worried about me though.
My wife has no problem as it keeps me off the smokes, she even orders it for me and buys me snuff boxes so Im in a very happy situation with my better half.
